We arrived at the hotel just after 11pm and, truthfully, our first impression was far from great. The interior felt bland, cold, and uninviting—from the reception area to the restaurant, and even our room. It certainly didn’t fill us with excitement for the week ahead. But what unfolded over the next six days completely turned things around and far exceeded our expectations. As the sun rose the next morning, we were greeted with stunning views of the ocean, and suddenly the entire resort seemed to come alive. The atmosphere changed completely and we started to see the charm of the place. Meal times offered a varied (though not overly extensive) selection of food, and themed dinner nights—Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, and Asian—added some fun variety to the experience. The resort predominantly caters to French guests, so expect to hear mostly French spoken, with very few English-speaking visitors. Now, the real stars of the resort—the animation team. And let us tell you, they are EXCEPTIONAL. From high-energy Zumba sessions, relaxing yoga, and fun line-dancing to aqua aerobics and salsa, they bring such incredible passion and enthusiasm to every activity. They’re the heartbeat of the resort, turning every day into something special. The evening entertainment was consistently enjoyable, with standout shows like Funky Friends and the White Disco. But what made it truly memorable were the people behind it. Huge shoutout to Estelle, Nelly, Valentin, Moiz, Tahome & Rachel, and the entire animation crew—you kept us smiling, laughing, and dancing every single day. Your energy, warmth, and dedication were nothing short of inspiring. The holiday would not have been the same without you! Outside the resort, there’s not much beyond souvenir shops and cliffside walks. You’re quite remote, so taxis or buses are needed for towns and excursions—Palma, for example, is a 2-hour bus ride. A boat trip to Porto Cristo is available and costs around €30, which is a lovely way to explore further. The pool area offers plenty of loungers, daybeds, and recliners to relax on, though the water was freezing in April—so we skipped the swims. Our bed had broken legs on arrival, but the maintenance team resolved it by the next day. Unfortunately, changing rooms wasn't an option. On the upside, the cleaning staff were excellent, ensuring our room was spotless each day. The entire resort is well maintained, and special mention to the restaurant manager, whose attention to detail and leadership clearly shows—his team is welcoming, efficient, and professional. The personal touch of being greeted at the door for lunch and dinner was a lovely gesture. On departure day, there’s a luggage room to store your bags. Free water, juices, coffee, fizzy drinks, and alcoholic beverages are available on the basement level, and outside of meal times, you can grab burgers, chips, cakes, and pancakes—another nice touch. Overall, while the first impression may not blow you away, the warmth of the staff, the views, and most of all, the phenomenal animation team truly make this resort special. Don’t be fooled by first appearances—this place has heart!
