Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort

This hotel and experience was amazing. The entertainment department makes every day fun. Big credit to Cristian, Leon, Rain, Bruno, Tony and the handsome Santi. The restaurants are a hassle with some bad service and some bad food. The buffet is amazing though.

Had a wonderful experience from a smooth check in to check out of the resort. Our room was lovely and had stunning views of the ocean. The staff really enhanced our stay. Standouts included help from Alex securing a Cabana for our second day. He was extremely knowledgeable despite still being in training. Monserrat and team provided friendly and wonderful service daily making our days in the sun so enjoyable. Food was wonderful with so many choices and my absolute favorite was breakfast at La Luce. Alex was our waiter most days and was so welcoming to our family and professional! Chef Juan, Jair, and Samuel were also so wonderful to our family.. On our last day we were treated to a lovely spread and left knowing we will miss this restaurant and the friends we made. Also very much enjoyed our experiences at Noriku and the Enclave lounge where Juan was a welcoming presence for my morning coffee. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Hotel was very clean and had lots of amenities & Food was way better than expected!! Ester at the buffet style restaurant was by far the highlight of our trip 🫶 she was so cheerful and knowledgeable, she even taught me about some of the local fruit!! Highly recommend a stay here when coming to Cancun. Only con would be the hotel does not offer a shuttle or their own transportation to/from airport.

My family and I recently stayed at the Hilton Mar Caribe Cancun for a 4 night stay. From when we first arrived to when we left, the service was top notch. We arrived at 2 pm the first day we arrived (Thursday), which was before our check-in time so we had to wait a little, but it was not excessive. I did see a little larger wait for guests that arrived on Saturday. We were greeted with a warm towel to wash and hands and refreshments. The bell men took care of our luggage, and we were free to roam the property until our room was ready. I believe our room was ready at 3:30 pm. We booked a ocean view 1 bedroom King Suite w/ twin murphy bed pull-outs. The room exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable and worked perfect for our family of four. We received a high floor room, 12th floor, about dead center of the resort so the view to the ocean and resort was amazing. The Enclave upgrade was not available to us when I booked, but I had put in an upgrade request after booking. The resort was pretty full so we did not receive our upgrade to enclave so I cannot say whether the enclave would be worth the extra $900. The only knock to maybe not having the enclave upgrade is that the ale carte restaurants are difficult to get into so the priority booking may have helped you get into the restaurant and time slot you preferred. We ended up eating at the Japanese and Mexican (Mexal) restaurant. I would recommend both these restaurants. Food and presentation was excellent. The only knock would be at the Japanese restaurant, they really wanted to get you in and out quickly to accommodate more customers. We felt a little rushed as we had to order all of the courses at once. We did not feel this same push at the Mexican restaurant which was a little less busy. I had booked a reservation at the Italian restaurant the last night of our trip, but the only time slot we could get was 930 pm which was too late for my family. Truthfully, my wife and kids enjoyed the buffet just as much as the ale carte restaurants. You had endless options, the service was excellent, and the food was tasty too. When we were at the resort, the beach and the ocean was amazing. It must of been low tide when we first arrived as my 10 and 14 year daughters were able to go out and play in the waves with little difficulty. The waves were just large enough for body surfing. The tide was a little higher towards the end of our trip so it was a little more difficult for my youngest to get out and play in the waves much. I had to watch her pretty close. Overall though, I would give the beach a 10 out of 10. The pools were okay, we truthfully spent most of our day in the ocean other than at the end of the day when we were salted out. There was nothing wrong with the pool area, plenty of space to accommodate a full resort, but I've been at nicer pools. Pool temperature seemed fine to my family. The wife and I walked the beach down towards the Marriot hotel, and I would say that the beach in front of the Hilton was the nicest in that stretch. Overall, if I was to stay in the hotel zone in Cancun in the future, I would definitely stay at the Hilton Mar Caribe Cancun again.

Overall, we had a nice time at the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe. However, I want to leave an honest review for couples/adults who are thinking of choosing this hotel. We booked this through Air Canada Vacations, and were pleased when we arrived as the grounds of the hotel are gorgeous (beautifully designed and clean) and the rooms (clean and modern). However, as an adult, this hotel lacks activity and features to allow for a fun trip. I've summarized below. Rooms: all room types are great - all have an ocean view and are modern. even rooms with small juliette balconies are lovely. Dining: buffet was good but would have preferred a more diverse offering of staple foods like rice, grilled chicken, etc. Steakhouse (a la carte) was our favourite, delicious food. You have to book a la cartes on their online website and can only book 2 days in advance. Availability was not optimal. Snack bar was supposedly open 24/7, but there was sometimes no attendants to serve you, and the food was minimal (pre-made sandwiches, etc.). Breakfast buffet was my favourite, but there was always a long line in the morning to be seated by the host. We never used the room service, so cannot comment on that. There was a pool buffet area as well, that offered hamburgers/pizza/ some buffet items during the day, which was convenient to grab something quick to eat. Clientele: being Canadian, we chose to travel after March Break (when the schools are out for spring break) on purpose, but did not realize Spring Break in some states was happening the week we stayed in Cancun. There were many teenagers, and many kids, not many young adults (besides the parents of these children). I cannot speak to the clientele/vibe of the hotel at other points in the year, but we would not return to a family hotel during Spring Break again. Bars: alcohol was varied and the drinks were good. However, the lobby bar closed down at 11pm each night (which was not advertised), so there was no entertainment/anywhere to go for adults who wanted to enjoy their evenings/have a cocktail. This hotel would benefit from having an adults only lounge/bar, or a disco for adults (not teens), that stayed open until 12:30/1am (like many other resorts we have stayed at). Entertainment: the staff was lovely and there was always something planned for the daytime. The night entertainment sometimes started at 8pm, and ended by 10/10:30pm each night. Again, nothing planned for adults. The resort was targeted fully towards/to entertain children. In my opinion, entertainment should be for both sets of clientele, as a family resort with guests of all ages. Beach: beautiful sand and blue ocean. always somewhere to sit (however, the chairs under the umbrellas were sparse and hard to reserve). the waves were very intense, given the location of this hotel/beach, and is not suitable for young children and/or older adults. I've heard the ocean is more calm on the other side of the hotel zone (closer to the top/around the bend). Pools: pools were nice and spacious, there was an adults only section with infinity/whirlpools that allowed for a nice reprieve from all the children and crowds on the resort. Spa: spa was small, but nice. prices were quite high for the small facility/lack of facilities. Again, a beautiful resort, but I would only return if I had a family with small children.
