Helea Family Beach Resort

The Helea Resort itself was lovely and the amenities at the hotel were great however, we did run into a few problems along the way. After paying for a Deluxe land view room we were given a room that overlooked the hotels ducting. This meant we had lots of noise all day, fumes being pumped out by our bedrooms so we couldn't sit out on the balcony and no land view whatsoever. As someone who enjoys sitting out on the balcony first thing in the morning or last thing at night with a drink this was very frustrating. We still have an ongoing complaint with Jet2 regarding this too. The hotel staff were also not interested and offered us a different room whilst we were on the boat to Symi Island, because we couldn't get to the reception desk straight away we were then told we couldn't change rooms. The staff were friendly (apart from the reception staff who always seemed busy chatting) especially down at the beach bar! The food was great, the beach bar and street food kitchen was definitley a hit with us on a lunchtime as the food was far superior to the buffet. We also found the drinks were so much tastier down at the beach bar than up at the main bar, perhaps just personal preference! The location was very central to a lot of things we wanted to do and was very easy to get into Rhodes at any time of the day! Taxis were never an issue too! The surroundings around the hotel is a bit lifeless with a few tavernas but again, very easy to pop into Rhodes. As a couple i do think the hotel next door (adults only) may of been preferable now that we have been but the facilities were superb and we never struggled to find a bed near the beach. The hotel was kept clean, tidy and safe even after the fire that happened at the street food bar. Aside from the lack of view and helpfulness from the hotel staff it is a lovely hotel however, after staying in other 4/5* hotels i would suggest this is more of a 4* through and through.

Beautiful 5 Star All-inclusive Hotel. We stayed in the Junior Suite Seaview Swim-Up Room. The room was amazing, comfortable and equipped with all the necessary facilities. The Hotel had a relaxed laid back atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. The food was delicious with a large variety. The hotel is situated on one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. Thank you to all the staff and management.

We had a great stay at Helea. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. You are entitled to a certain number of A La Carte meals per stay but the buffet, which is available every night, had a different selection meaning we didn't get bored. There is a shop on site for any bits you may want in your room and local restaurants/bars nearby if you fancy a night outside of the hotel. There are plenty of pools to choose from and availability of sunbeds. Some improvements which could be made: hotel to ensure bars/restaurants stick to opening/closing times, clean facilities to wash in after check out.

I stayed at the hotel for about 10 days and I have to say it was one of the best experiences we have ever had at hotels, luxurious, clean, great atmosphere and best of all it was the staff who left an amazing impression to us, especially after seeing how hard they were working and still had a smile on them, especially at the restaurant Lopia with Gerald and Elisabeth being always there to make us a great impression and also the manager Vasilis who was there so solve all our problem and generally every time we were at the restaurant made us have a unique experience.All these stuff made us have such a great experience and made us very greatful for being there.

Everything went smoothly and hotel was great. All the excursions where 15 to 30 mins drive from the hotel. Airport was also close to hotel. Enjoyed going to the old town which was also only 15 mins away by car. Staff at hotel were nice and helpful, willing to help with anything.
