The Haven…don’t think, just book it!

The resort exceeded all of our expectations from start to finish! The property, rooms, restaurants (including the buffet) were all excellent. While here for a week, my husband and I visited all of the restaurants for dinner and we had really memorable experiences at all of them. We would like to give a special shout out to Luis (waiter) Santos (chef) and Jonathan (manager) at Agua Bendita who helped provide a fantastic meal and evening in two occasions…thank you so much!

Solo trip Haven Riviera spa - Cancun

I travelled solo to Haven Riviera from the UK. 1st time solo travelling for 5 nights only. I visited the venue for RnR. I pre-booked the temazcal experience, and it was expensive because I was alone. but it will work our cheapest for couples or groups. I enjoyed the hydrotherapy ahead of the Temazcal and the cold plunge and warm bed massage afterwards. the venue was amazing, I had access to 2 of the pools, but I mostly stayed on the beach, which is only a few steps away from any of the resort pools. beach is peaceful too and loads of spaces and beds available. All staff were friendly and helpful. upon arrival i was greated by a very helpful concierge who led me to the check in desk where is greeted byEmeli, she was very helpful as I checked and and provided all the relevant info as well as taking me to spa area to check my pre booked appointment is okay for the next day. after this, the concierge took me to my room and explained how some things work, like door locks, Bluetooth speaks, etc. After my check-in, I quickly settled in and met some amazing people who were also vacationing here. I would definitely go back here in heartbeat. I'm really pleased with my stay at this resort. thanks to all staff (bar, entertainment, room service, coffee shop, spa, temazcal shaman, concierges). also, thanks to Amstar for a smooth transfer to/ from the hotel to the airport.

Exceptional Service at Haven

Haven is a beautiful resort with amazing staff, food, and services. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. We booked the Serenity Club option and stayed in an oceanfront swim out with the most stunning view. Carlos, our butler, was very helpful throughout our stay. He answered all of our questions, arranged reservations for restaurants and golf, and checked in on us daily. He also spent a fair amount of time helping us with an issue we had with an excursion that we didn’t book through the resort. Levi served us at our swim out earlier in our stay, then at the lobby bar later on. He works hard and provides exceptional service, and aside from that he is a wonderful person. Very kind and genuine. We enjoyed visiting and having conversations with him. Alejandro is a rock star at Satsu’s hibachi grill. He is very entertaining, talented, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend Liliana and Natalie at the spa. We booked the couples hammam treatment and it was amazing. The massage was probably the best I’ve had. Comparable to massages I’ve had at the Fairmont Banff Springs. We enjoyed the food at every a la carte. We found all of it to be high quality and delicious. Our favourite spot for breakfast and lunch was Vistas. You get a beautiful view of the round pool and the ocean while you enjoy a coffee, mimosa, or any of the exceptional choices on the menu. Our favourite was the salmon toast, with their perfectly poached eggs. Serenity pool has poolside food service, which was nice. The main pool has a fun atmosphere. The round pool is gorgeous but other than eating at vistas, we didn’t spend much time there. It was fairly quiet. Our swim out in room 1003 got sun right up to about 15:00, and with poolside drink service, it was really enjoyable to just spend time there. The beach does have sargassum, but that did not affect our stay in the slightest, and I’m a beach person. The sand was the softest powdery white sand and with all the pool options we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. Overall, we loved our stay at Haven. There are probably many things and people that I’ve forgot to mention, but everything was awesome. I would definitely recommend this resort to couples, adult families, or for a girls spa trip.

Perfect holiday ❤️

My mum and I visited Haven for a two-week holiday, and we honestly had the most amazing time - all thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A special shoutout to the entertainment team - Janet, Christina, and Sharkboy, who brought so much energy and fun every single day. They really went out of their way to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Degner (pool concierge) was also incredible, always checking in and making sure we were happy and comfortable by the pool. And Levi was equally brilliant, such a lovely person to chat to! The service here is genuinely 10/10. Any little issue we had was sorted almost instantly - from swapping out our pillows for thinner ones within 10 minutes of asking, to fixing our aircon early morning in under 20 minutes. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Our cleaner Sandra was also great. Our favourite restaurant by far was the Asian Fusion - the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn’t love the other restaurants quite as much, but the service everywhere was always great. The pools here are absolutely lovely. The round pool is perfect if you’re looking to relax, unwind, and get lost in a good book (or five). Meanwhile, the main pool is where all the fun happens - from music and pool games to volleyball and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot if you’re in the mood for a bit more energy and entertainment. Overall, a huge thank you to everyone at Haven for making our trip so special. We left with so many happy memories ❤️

***4.5 OUT OF 5*** We stayed at Haven from March 20th-25th, 2025 and loved it! We stayed with the Serenity Club and would highly recommend this upgrade. Our stay was ALMOST perfect, so I am giving it a 4.5/5. Pros: -The resort is beautiful and big! Very clean and well maintained grounds. It was only at 60% capacity during our stay, which was perfect because we did not have any issues getting spots by the Serenity pool or beach. -Highly recommend the Serenity Club upgrade for access to the private pool, beachside service, better restaurants, and better alcohol. -All the restaurants were wonderful- some better than others. We really loved having lunch at Vistas, which is part of the serenity club upgrade. It overlooks the large round pool. All the fresh fish entrées and ceviche were amazing. No reservation needed. No long wait. -The non-serenity restaurants we loved were the Japanese and Mediterranean. Service was excellent there as well. -Yes, the entrance to the ocean had a lot of seaweed, but the resorts cleans it daily. Once you pass the entrance, the water is clear and wonderful to swim in. It's not the hotel's fault there is seaweed. -Love how secluded and private the resort is and how close it is to the airport (20-minute drive). -The beds were really comfy and the sheets smelled wonderful! Cons: -The Buffet was very, very sad. It's tucked away in the back of the hotel and kind of dark and depressing inside. No outdoor seating to enjoy the gorgeous weather. Food selection was very mediocre. Thankfully we had the serenity upgrade because we did not like the buffet at all. This is not a buffet resort. -We traveled here for our Honeymoon. I told the hotel ahead of time it was our honeymoon. Although we were greeted with a banner, pastry, and card, upon arrival. That's pretty much it. You have to ask for everything else. -The Butler service that you get with the serenity club upgrade is pointless. Aside from making reservations to the restaurants for us on the first day, we did not find its purpose. We only saw our butter once or twice during our entire stay, after check in. He was very nice, but didn't find the service useful. -Room service is a hot mess- very disorganized and had to call several times to get things. -Housekeeping was fine but they need to do a better job cleaning the rooms daily- seemed to be done very halfway. Upon arrival, we had to ask them to re-clean our shower- there was a lot of black mildew. -Although the rooms are very nice, they did show a little wear and use. Walls needed to be repainted. Artwork was missing (you could see the empty hooks). A little TLC was needed. -Don't go to the Steakhouse- awful service and the meat is inedible. -Evening entertainment was boring. The shows were not good. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Haven. Would we come back? Yes. Would we see what else is out there for our next trip? Maybe. Would we recommend you stay at Haven if its your first time? Yes.
