Grecotel Luxme Daphnila Bay Dassia

We spent a lovely week at this hotel and overall, I’m very satisfied with the experience. Although I didn’t use the pool, I’d like to highlight the beach. It’s a mix of sand and pebbles – water shoes aren’t necessary, but some people might find the pebbles uncomfortable without them. The beach is on the smaller side, and while there’s a bar nearby that can occasionally get crowded, the wait times were never too bad. The bar staff were extremely friendly and served a variety of drinks. Although we didn’t use the pool during the day, we visited the pool bar every evening after dinner. The staff were very friendly but incredibly slow—waiting over 10 minutes for a simple order was common, even when there weren’t many guests. It was also typical that once we finished our drinks, the staff wouldn’t notice or offer another round. One thing to note is that getting to the beach involves a short downhill walk, which could be challenging for guests with mobility issues. However, there is a golf cart shuttle service available. Around noon, the beach can get a bit full, especially the sun loungers, but we always found space by arriving after breakfast around 9–10 a.m. My biggest personal issue was the high number of small children, who were sometimes quite noisy. I can’t comment on the pool as I didn’t visit it. Food The food was excellent, with a strong focus on Greek cuisine. There could have been more fish options, but the lamb and vegetables were especially delicious. Breakfast was consistent and classic continental – eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, etc. The service for drinks was fast and problem-free. Room Housekeeping was done daily, including towel changes, which was great. Everything was clean except for a bit of dust under the table. The minibar was free and included cola, water, Fanta, coffee, and tea. The room itself was comfortable, but the bathroom was slightly inconvenient. There was no ventilation, so it steamed up quickly and stayed that way for a while. Also, there wasn’t much storage space, and the lack of towel hooks was a noticeable issue. Location & Transportation There isn’t much around the hotel itself, but a bus to the town is available twice a day. You can reserve a spot at the reception. Staff The biggest highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. Incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. They were knowledgeable and spoke multiple languages. The reception team deserves special praise – they were absolutely top-notch. I’d also like to mention the housekeeper Fani—she was very friendly and genuinely caring, which we really appreciated. Final Thoughts Overall, this is a great hotel. There are a few minor issues, but nothing that would prevent me from recommending it. One last thing: our flight from Prague was delayed, and we arrived at the hotel after midnight. Unfortunately, there was no small meal or snack prepared in the room, which was a bit disappointing after a long journey. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Wow, what an amazing holiday, leaving today after 10 beautiful days at this hotel The hotel is beautiful and well presented 😁 all staff work endlessly long hours to keep up the running of this hotel and still have a smile on their faces 😁 Keep up the good work ☺️ The food has lots of variety and available all day somewhere 😁 visiting the restaurants is a must ☺️ book on the app prior to arriving we went to the Imperial which was amazing. Beach is in a beautiful calm bay, great to swim. Rooms we had a beautiful sea view looking over the bay, always had clean towels and mini bar stocked There is nothing negative about this hotel and staff 😁

Pros - Beautiful grounds and buildings - Lovely greeting off transfer - taken to a sofa and offered drink, cold towel and filled in check in form sitting down rather than queueing at reception - Water sports company professional, well prices and friendly. Husband went water skiing and all equipment was new and well kept. - Getting beer in a ice cold glass was nice Cons - Air con in room was just a fan in the wall with 3 settings so room was boiling - Room wasn’t cleaned despite leaving the sign on the door handle at 10am - Room very dated - long queues for pool bar. Coke served from bottle sitting on the side (not cold) in tiny glasses so you have to keep re-queueing for a drink - food choice minimal and soggy/cold. I know all inclusive food is limited anyway, but this was to the extreme - sewage smell everywhere especially sitting outside the main bar next to the hot stone restaurant and crêperie - we tried to eat at the Greek restaurant. We were completely forgotten about twice (had to reorder food), no drinks refilling. Then the man’s chair next to us completed collapsed and he fell through the chair, so furniture was clearly in poor condition. - on their app they advertise djs at the beach bar in the evening. The beach bar was closed when we went to check this out one evening. When we asked reception they didn’t know anything about it. - Table service was hit or miss. I was only served once when I was alone - others seemed to be getting much more attention than us

The room is more basic than the photos, no slip mats for shower which was in the bath and that was very badly marked with the surface coming off. maybe this sounds picky but it states mini bar in room topped up everyday, it was actually a fridge with pop and water, when we said the definition of mini bar is soft drinks alcohol and snacks they sent someone to put those things in that were missing but we refused them as everyone should have been getting what was advertised not just us. meals left a lot to be desired, very little for vegetarians or children, but as the rep said they do have salad and chips, no ice cream at meal times for children and there was lots of children. Hotel is beautiful but its on its own with nothing really in walking distance so unless you like to stay your whole holiday in the hotel its a long walk to anything. we paid extra for a room with sea and pool view which it did have and was stunning but normally you get the sun on a balcony when overlooking the pool, this happened for 1 hour first thing in the morning, if you want the sun on your balcony you need a room on the other side to the pool and save yourself the money and the noise, you can still get the fabulous views from outside or in the lobby. Booked a day trip to Albania when we got the receipt it said it was not suitable for people with mobility issues which i have, went to Albania and it was great apart from a 2 hour walk around a Heritage site and the bus dropping us off to do 50 steps to the promenade then the rep stating we had a mile walk to the ferry, why could they not offered either the heritage site ect or left us on the promenade to do what you want and meet at the ferry, as the promenade where everything was going on we were only there for 40 minute in the whole day.
