Grecotel Luxme Daphnila Bay Dassia

If you are reading the reviews, debating whether to book, just do it! We have just had the most wonderful & relaxing weeks stay at Grecotel Daphnila Bay. (A couple ages 29) We were warmly welcomed with a drink and was taken to our bungalow via golf buggy, with our luggage shortly followed. The lobby is gleamingly clean and the staff are so kind. We stayed in a garden view bungalow which was gorgeous, very rustic and so refreshing as other hotels we had looked at were white, bright and modern. This room has such a special feel to it. Although it was a garden view we could see the sea which was a bonus. The room and bathroom were spotless and cleaned daily, towels and bedding changed and the mini bar re stocked. We spent most of our “chill days” by the beach, you never struggled for a sun bed and the bar / lunch / crepe / ice cream were a stone throw away. We preferred the lunch options down at the beach to the main hotel buffet. The drinks options throughout the hotel were brilliant, I had premium branded gin and it was part of the all inclusive which is quite rare! It was our 3 year anniversary during our stay and we were surprised with a complimentary bottle of fizz and a gorgeous chocolate cake, which was such a special touch. We booked through TUI and booked the adults only sunset catamaran boat trip which was beautiful and really made the holiday! They had netted areas on the front with sun beds on. Definitely book that trip if you are with TUI. (I’m sure other holiday providers do a similar trip) drinks and food was included on this trip. We got two swimming / snorkelling stop offs which was super fun. The speed boat taxi from the hotel is a must!!! This takes you from the hotel 9.30am to Corfu town and returns at 2.30pm, we felt like we were on a film, there was a few kids on the boat with us and the driver let them drive which was super cool for them! On our last night we got a taxi into Corfu town, it is beautiful through the day but it comes alive on a evening, this cost €30 each way (we shared with a lovely couple we had met during our stay) Local buses are available. One day we walked from the hotel to Ipapanti monastery - this was well worth the walk (around half hour - but then we found a short cut on the way back) There are lots of restaurants to visit during your stay and mostly included in the all inclusive, we thoroughly enjoyed the main restaurant and the food options there so didn’t actually eat anywhere else in the hotel, Although we did visit the sister hotel - imperial hotel and ate at their Italian restaurant, we were given €20 each to contribute to the price of the meal, we shared a bottle of Prosecco and the bill was around €40 in the end, totally worth it and nice to have a walk around the other hotel! (We preferred ours!) The weather was incredible and much hotter than we were expecting for September, even the sea was warm. The hotel pool was quite cold but you got use to it, I joined in the aqua gym class which was good fun and felt good after few days of pigging out and drinking! There is a smaller kids pool at the front of the hotel but no family’s seemed to use this, so the main pool was quite loud at times. Again another reason we mostly went to the beach! The staff at the hotel could not have been any more generous and willing to help, they definitely went over and beyond and made us feel very special throughout. We will be recommending the hotel to all our friends and family. Thank you to all the staff.

We were warmly welcomed during checking, the staff at the reception desk / restaurants were always very helpful/smiling / everything was always clearly explained, booking for restaurants was smooth. In the restaurant the tables were always ready, we never waited at the door despite of high volume of people. Food was excellent, buffet was always full even 5 minutes before closing time, plenty of choices. Special thank you to all staff which made our holiday special compare to service and staff that we received last year at Rhodes Grecotel Lux me Dama Dama with no interest in customer satisfaction.

We honestly had THE best holiday. We had absolutely no complaints and this hotel has really set the standard for us. The resort, food, drink, staff everything was wonderful and we plan on returning next year! The only tiniest thing we would say would be the children's play area at the front of the hotel next to the pool. It needs some attention. Having worked in the entertainment side for TUI myself, i did think that the entertainment for children was of low level compared to other family hotels ive worked in. However, everything else was AMAZING and we cant wait to come back next year! Thank you for the most memorable and beautiful holiday!

Upon arrival at Grecotel Lux Me Daphnila, we was met by some very friendly reception staff who assisted with a smooth check-in, complementary cold towels & cold drinks were handed to us, and bell boys who took our luggage to the room. I was a little eager to get to see the room we had been allocated as some reviews on here mention snagging décor plus location of some rooms - (*VERY steep hill). As we arrived late evening, we were unable to see a lot of the grounds to the hotel, but the main building swimming pool area, lounge in itself is spectacular! ** Grecotel App ** Before you go, download the Grecotel app to book restaurants!! This can be done 1 week prior to your stay. Alternatively, you can email the concierge desk direct who will assist with booking these for you as well. The app can sometimes be a little temperamental but does give you a idea on what's available plus, it gives you information pertaining to the other sister hotels close by which if you have booked the LUX-Me package, you are entitled to a discount when dining (*20 euros per adult/ 10 euros per child). ** The room ** Was a lovely size, separate toilet and bathroom with double sinks. Our balcony was a nice size too however, it sadly overlooked a mouldy concrete wall. The furniture on our balcony was very old and worn, with flooring (in areas) cracked/mouldy. The room was situated at the bottom of a VERY steep hill (*nearby the beach and Asia Oliva restaurant). The Safe in the room didn't work and the lock on our main front door did not lock either. With 2 young children and valuables, was very anxious about it and requested we be moved to a secure room. Request was accommodated which was great, but wasn't able to move straight away due to hotel capacity (* 3 days after), during which time we barricaded the door each night with a bed. ** The New Room ** Closer to the main building & swimming pool. Exact same layout of previous room. Fantastic views. The room looked as though it had been refreshed recently compared to previous one. New door which locked. Safe which worked. Balcony furniture was much better and included a table this time, A/C worked very well, the bed was very very comfortable plus TV worked all ok. #HAPPYFAMILY-LETTHEHOLIDAYBEGIN!! ** Complementary Golf buggy & Mercedes car** The hotel has 2 vehicles onsite for pick-up or, drop-off taking guests up and down the hill (*ALL DAY!!). You can either be collected from the top to be taken down, or in reverse order. Sadly, not always available, due to many families using with little ones, or those with restrictions. ** Restaurants ** Dependent on time of year, the hotel restaurants get booked up very quickly. Variety of cuisines which is great, all very tasty. Would definitely recommend the Hot Stone & Danilia Village culinary experience all included with LUX Me package. Overall, a few teething issues to being with which were resolved. For me, the staff at this place are what make the hotel. From reception, to waiters & waitresses, kids club team, cleansing staff, the lot! They are all so hard working, and strive to ensure all guests are happy at all times. Our family loved this place, and would definitely consider staying here again. Definitely recommended.

I'm quite disappointed with this hotel and won't be returning. After a delayed flight, we arrived late and were tired, so I didn't have the energy to argue, but I was immediately unimpressed with the room. Considering we paid £3.3k for a week at the end of August, I expected a much better standard. On the positive side, the food at the restaurant and beach buffet, including pizza, ice cream, crepes, and cakes, was very good. The cocktails were also enjoyable, and I appreciated the use of reusable cups instead of single-use ones. The cleaning, restaurant, and bar staff were all lovely and attentive. However, the pool staff were another story – they came across as arrogant and unhelpful. They ran out of towels midday and didn’t seem to care when we asked about it. One major disappointment was the inability to secure any reservations at the speciality restaurants. I don’t see the point in offering this service if guests can’t actually use it. The pool itself was also underwhelming – it was quite small, and there wasn’t much for kids to do, with no slide or splash area nearby. The beach, however, was warm and pleasant, and we enjoyed the time we spent there. Extra points to the attendant who collected towels and ensured loungers were available for others. Overall, given the price we paid, I believe we could have found better value for money elsewhere.
