Gennadi Grand Resort

Lovely hotel, I travelled here for a week in May solo. The only issue I had was trying to move rooms as I picked this hotel specifically for peace and quiet. Unfortunately a group of people were staying in adjacent rooms who would congregate on their balcony every evening. They were lovely and I had no issue with them but I had specifically asked for a quiet room to recuperate and have decent sleep and relaxation. I found the front desk manager was very reticent to move me and it took over two days despite being there only for one week. The hotel wasn’t full as it’s huge and I could see many empty rooms but she was very slow to organise the move this was the only major issue I had. I stayed b + b basis but I would probably recommend half board deals as the buffet room does have gorgeous freshly prepared food. The breakfast each morning was great. I would recommend going earlier as between 9-10 it became really busy. All stations are regularly replenished and various hot items cooked from scratch. The hotel staff servers were fantastic, especially by the pool. Buying alacarte meals is expensive and it’s limited with areas to eat. There aren’t many restaurants close by to explore without a taxi ride as the hotel is in a quieter spot of Rhodes. Recommend the spa, this was the best part of my stay, the manager was fantastic and as it gets busy book when you first arrive. It has a lovely sauna steam room and pool and the therapists were excellent. I’ve travelled to many spas around the world and this one was excellent! One of my favourites so far. The pool is lovely it’s saltwater so not nasty chemicals or chlorine which was great. There was a daily yoga class held on a balcony outside (covered) above one of the meeting rooms and the teacher was excellent. Highly recommend. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which was great to go to old Rhodes town to explore. Another activity not to be missed. I booked through Hays travel on a TUI package and the set up was excellent and well priced. I’ve never had a package holiday before so this was a pleasant surprise.

Everything about Gennadi Grand Resort is 5star + Great acomodation, food,entertainment etc etc Staff are wonderful and are always on hand to help pools were lovely and not too crowded and if you dont fancy the pool the beach/sea are only a short walk from the hotel

From the super friendly staff at the start you can almost be assured a great stay at this hotel. The food is outstanding in all of the restaurants - the buffet is the best I’ve experienced in an all inclusive and the a la carte restaurants are 10/10. The resort could make better use of the pool at the front of the hotel and the beach could do with a bit of improvement but that aside it’s a lovely place to get away to! The spa is brilliant…I indulged in a hot stone massage, hamman, facial, heated pool - all amazing and great value for money!

We had a wonderful stay at the Gennadi Grand Resort. Our journey to the hotel hadn’t been smooth, and the airline had lost our bags, and the staff at reception couldn’t have been more supportive or helpful. A glass of fizz each whilst we checked in helped to turn our day right around, thank you all so much. We had a pool room, which was beautiful and private, modern with good amenities. We opted for half board, and the food was fantastic all week, loads of variety, different every night, and their wine was well priced and good quality. Though towards the end of the season, there was still really good quality entertainment and a nice atmosphere. I’ve never stayed anywhere with so many pool and restaurant choices on site, plus the village of Gennadi is a 15 minute walk. It is along the road, but the route is wide and felt safe. We had a wonderful time, the staff couldn’t have done enough for us.

Highly recommend gennadi grand , best hotel I’ve ever stayed in super friendly go out of there way for you great food super clean everything is spot on . Entertainment is great also the facilities everything . I do recommend hiring a car as well .
