We just got back from 8 days here, and having read some of the worst and best reviews can give my thoughts. The staff are delightful, it has a family feeling to the place, when we arrived the receptionist went out of her way to be friendly and welcoming. Alexandra working on the second pool bar during the day was perfect charming and helped us with beach recommendations and taxi numbers. The day barmen in the main bar were friendly and chatty and taught people greek and Albanian words if you were nice to them. The cleaners were happy and made no fuss when my son wet the bed twice! For what it's worth, I was aware the air con cost money to have it on 24/7 when I booked, I was aware that Greece has tourist taxes and they'd need to be paid. Yes the beds are firm. We slept ok, I suffer from sciatica, this didn't aggravate it at all but if firm beds bother you, maybe not your ideal. This is a small hotel, so you don't get a massive array of food like I've had in massive complexes before but you also get no queue at the bar, no distance from your room to the pool or bar and the staff know you. Back to the food: Breakfast: fruit, beans, sausages (mini ones), eggs (various) and some pastries. The fried and boiled eggs were the best, omelette and scrambled eggs weren't to my pallette. cold cheeses and meat (all good), toast, jam, honey, fresh bread, cereal. I could always find something to eat as could my 7+9 year olds. sometimes American pancakes, sometimes bread and butter pudding!!! Lunch: salads, pasta, stewed tomatoes, fruit, desserts Afternoon snack: pasta, salads, pizza Afternoon Cake: various, some delicious, some ok Dinner: various, from pastas to cooked meats in gravy to chicken thighs, sometimes fish fingers, just lots of varied foods. And some salads and lots of dessert. Food Summary: I could have given some tips on some of the food from an English pallet, an omelette station would have been amazing. It was 37 degrees while we were there and each day people did reserve beds earlier and earlier especially after the shade... the beds never ran out, but the shades did. Not an easy one to enforce but I was getting beds and shade still at 9:20 each day which didn't feel early. 11 o'clock cut off for all inclusive is annoying, but again it's a small hotel, there aren't many people up at that time drinking, they could just close the bar! On the comments about watered down beer, they have two beers: one is less strong called zorbas, they tend to lean towards that if you're steaming, or they think you might not want to drink too strong all day. or there's another high strength one. my experience was the g+t were generous. Overall we loved our stay here. i'd definitely go smaller more intimate hotels than massive soulless hotels. there's also free table tennis. and the pools are a decent size. Some rooms are more modernly furnished than others we found. oh I also took my own travel router to bounce the free WiFi into our bedroom as it doesn't really work in the bedrooms otherwise. it's fast enough though!
