First of all, we didn't actually book this hotel. We booked Evita Resort but when we arrived they had overbooked (a commin occurrence it seems) so we were transferred here and weren't sure what to expect, especially when we saw some of the previous reviews. However, we were pleasantly surprised.(It might have been different if we had young children with us.) What we loved about it: 1. The stunning location, right on the beach and just a short walk into the town centre, with buses to Rhodes old town running every 20 mins from the front of the hotel. 2. The lovely staff - professional, friendly and helpful. 3. There are 4 pools, so there was never an instance where we couldn't find a sunbed, some pools were practically empty and the length of 2 of the pools meant I could swim up and down on my own for my daily exercise. 4. The spacious room. We had booked double/twin but were allocated a family room so we had a double and a twin. The room was clean and serviced daily. Towels were replaced every couple of days. 5. Food. This a a personal choice but I loved the fresh salads every day and choice of chicken, fish, pork, beef and vegetables. They also had rice, pasta and chips at every meal. Plus a specials counter which ranged from pizza, kebabs, roast beef and roast pork. It's not fine dining but good hearty fayre. 6. The weather! 27 degrees and sunshine all day. In October. And beautiful sunsets. 7. The price! We got a last minute deal via loveholidays and it was excellent value for money. Looking at some of the previous poor reviews it felt like people wanted to pay Premier Inn prices and stay at The Ritz, in which case, of course they would be disappointed. Areas for improvement: 1. Poor WiFi coverage. None in the rooms or restaurant but you could get onto the network by the pool. 2. No welcome pack in the room. It would have been good to know restaurant opening times, location of toilets (it took us a couple of days to work this out) number of reception in case of an emergency and local amenities. 3. The shower was fixed in one position. I'm quite short so had to hold the shower as it was too high for me. 4. A previous comment mentioned there were no pictures on the walls. Again, this is a very personal choice. Clean, white and minimalist was fine for me but it could be a marketing opportunity to take a few photos, e.g. Rhodes old town, Anthony Quinn Bay etc. and have a couple of those on the walls with the location noted. So that people might want to book the excursions. The positives far outweigh any minor tweaks and if the hotel were to address every little comment the price would need to go up. That's the trade off. Myself and my parter were very happy with our stay.
