This shingle and sand haven stretches over two miles onto a sandbank with exceptionally clear waters and is as authentically Turkish as they come. If you've ever received a postcard from Olu Deniz in Turkey, chances are the picture featured the stunning Blue Lagoon beach. We're not exaggerating when we describe it as a calm oasis with waters in every shade of blue, extending its white-shingle bay into two parts. Behind the sandbank, the crystal-clear waters of the Blue Lagoon are protected by the Oludeniz National Park. The name 'Olu Deniz' means 'dead sea,' and similar to the Dead Sea between Israel and Jordan, it contains high amounts of saline, which means you float rather than swim.

Although still part of Oludeniz beach, Kumburnu beach is so breathtaking that it deserves an honourable mention. Positioned at the very tip of the sandy stretch between Olu Deniz beach and the Blue Lagoon, it features calm, shallow waters, making it the ideal location for a family day out or a leisurely paddle in a canoe in the translucent sea. The beach is supervised by lifeguards, and entrance is free of charge, with sun loungers available for hire.

Kabak beach is the ultimate destination if you seek seclusion and peace. This naturally flawless crescent is hidden behind sylvan steep rocks, casting shade over the bay. The laid-back atmosphere and scenic views make it the perfect stretch of paradise to achieve that sun-kissed glow and bathe in the turquoise waters. Many Kabak visitors also enjoy a hike up the lush mountain that envelops the bay, offering spectacular settings

Dive into the essence of nature in this heavenly spot. Butterfly Valley is nestled between expansive cliff ridges, reachable only by boat. Once you arrive, you'll encounter the delightful ambiance and limitless beauty of this secluded cove. The Valley Kitchen snack bar is tucked away in the corner of the beach, and if you follow the winding hiking trails, you'll reach the Kekeler Vadisi viewpoint, offering a perfect chance to capture the dramatic scenery in a photo.

About two kilometres south of Olu Deniz, Kidrak, also known as Paradise Beach, checks all the boxes for sun worshippers. The natural and unspoilt shoreline features ever-so-blue waters and a mix of sand and shingle, backed by looming mountain valleys.
