Downtown beach

At the heart of Kusadasi is the popular Downtown Beach. Set midway between the Harbour and Marina and close to the town centre, this sandy beach attracts visitors from the wider resort area as well as guests from the many hotels that flank this part of the shoreline. With all the usual beach facilities available, this is an ideal spot to hire a sunlounger and umbrella to while away the hours sunbathing and gazing across to Pigeon Island and the numerous cruise ships anchored a little out to sea. The beach is also served by a small café, with many more places to eat and drink along the adjacent boulevard.

Although the coastline is now divided into smaller sections due to hotel, shop, bar, and restaurant development, it remains a spectacular destination. You'll discover all the usual facilities and water-based activities here, and it's also the home of Aqua Centre, one of Kusadasi’s three water parks.

Gold beach

Gold Beach, also known as Diamond Beach by the locals, is a smaller, traditional spot located in front of the original old resorts of Nazilli Sitesi and Aydin Tur Sitesi. Before the big hotel complexes arrived, this was where the original holiday homes popped up, and the area still has many family-run cafés and bars selling old-style Turkish delicacies and snacks like gozleme. Nearby, Nazilli Bazaar is a great place to shop and practice your haggling skills while having some fun.
