Top up the tan at Kalamaki Beach

The golden, tanned sand of Kalamaki beach stretches for more than five kilometres, from Laganas to Agios Sostis. The sparkling lagoon is part of the Zakynthos Marine Park, which protects nesting areas for Caretta-Caretta turtles - don't be surprised if you see one hatching an egg! For this reason, all water sports are banned, but rest assured, the bay backs onto olive-green mountains, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxing in its shallow waters, idyllic for family walks.
