Best beaches in Agia Pelagia

Agia Pelagia is beautifully situated in the middle of three sheltered horseshoe-shaped bays, with sparkling turquoise waters as clear as the purest gin. There's only one reason why Mother Nature has pulled out all the stops in creating these magnificent beaches: to create lasting memories.

Agia Pelagia Beach

This vanilla-coloured stretch of sand and pebbles is just 0.3 km from the town centre. The Turks named it Tsanak Limani, which means 'plate', due to the naturally round shape of the lagoon. After soaking up the sun and enjoying the watersports, head along the coast to the far left to find a hidden cove surrounded by limestone, rock formations and dense groves.

Paralia Psaromoura

Paralia Psaromoura, in Greek, means "Fish Face Bay". This crescent-shaped bay is surrounded by cliffs that protect the beach from north-easterly winds. You won't find any restaurants or hotels on this pebble beach, but many facilities are within a walkable distance and plenty of sun loungers are up for grabs to achieve that sun-kissed glow. Hire a pedalo or stand-up paddle board to glide across the spectacular blue waters, or cool off with an ice-cold beer as you listen to the sound of the waves lapping against the shore.

Mades Beach

Just 4km east of Agia Pelagia beach, the rocky seabed of Mades beach is home to coral reefs and legions of fish just waiting to be explored - so don't forget your snorkelling gear! Sun umbrellas and lush vegetation add a splash of colour to the rock-strewn shoreline. It's the perfect place to unwind after a relaxing swim in the deep blue waters.

Enjoy the natural beauty of pale nude sands and a relaxing atmosphere at Kladissos Beach with the feel of a private beach. Access is via the Capsis Hotel, either from the Agia Pelagia end of the beach or from the hotel's main entrance, with a short walk required.

Ligaria Beach

When the name of Lygaria beach springs to mind, imagine all the elements of a typical Greek beach: aquamarine seas and blonde sands, set against rolling hills dotted with whitewashed villas. The beach is ideal for families and is also an excellent place to watch a picturesque sunset.
