Great Hotel, Wonderful Staff, Construction Site next door.

31 Oct 2024
Due to delays at the local airport we didn't arrive to the hotel until 00:15 local time. Thankfully there was some leftover food in the bar area and George even served us some drinks despite being past closing time. A really nice touch and not something that we have experienced before. The room itself was clean and tidy with a decently stocked fridge, digital safe, comfy beds, Air con and two TV's. No English speaking channels so bear that in mind. The family room double is 2 singles pushed together so also bear that in if you prefer to be with your partner at night. The All inclusive restaurant was simply wonderful. A great array of food which catered to all 6 of us(Including a fussy 12 year old) and some amazing desserts. The waiting staff are attentive and will have your plate cleared before you return with the next round! A big shout to Marina as well who was amazing with our 4 kids. The pool area was great, as mentioned by previous review the pool was cold but it was October and we knew going late in the season it would be cooler and dark at 5pm. The pebble beach was fine and sea temp was perfect. The pool bar was good with a good range of cocktails, spirit drinks and hot drinks. Ice cream and finger food was available as part of the all inclusive through the day. Staff here were wonderful as they were through the hotel. Evening entertainment was led by the onsite entertainment team who struggled to get the end of season crowd enthused through no fault of their own. Simply a lack of numbers. The hotel had a lot of German tourists but no issue with language barriers or towel wars. The buses into Rhodes were every 20 minutes and cash only. Well worth a visit to old town one evening. Take cash for better deals in old town. We booked a boat trip to Lindos via the Hotel reception as well and this was great if a little choppy. The onsite shop had most things that you would require. There was also a small supermarket within walking distance however most things had closed by late October including the waterpark across the road. The negatives: The pool tables charging €10 an hour felt expensive. The pools were cold. Not enough inflatables for the "Lazy River" even during the quiet period. The major issue for us was being woken up at 7am by the construction work every morning. There wasn't an option to move rooms and we were not informed of the works by Jet2 prior to departure. If you are a light sleeper and have children who are light sleepers you will need to factor this in when booking.

Great hotel would highly recommend.

We arrived at 23:50 and greeted by reception who advised that the bar was still open and had food available and that we could go and get food and drink and come back and check in later. This was a great start to the holiday and was much needed after a long day of travelling. When we got to the room there were drinks in the mini fridges that were all part of the All Inclusive deal. Again this was much needed given the time of arrival. The room was great and looked just like it did in the photos so no surprises there. We did have one surprise though in that the side of the hotel we were located over looked a large construction site for a new hotel development with 2 large cranes. I expect this will go on for over a year. We did ask it there were alternately rooms available on the opposite side and was offered one 4 days later once available however we didn’t bother as it was so late in the holiday and it didn’t actually bother us that much as we tend to get up early so wasn’t disturbed by the works. The food is amazing and there is so much choice so be prepared to either put some weight on unless you’re stronger willed than me. When we went at the end of October it was extremely quiet and was just what we wanted this meant that we were able to get a sun lounger any time of day either next to the pool or on the beach. The pool was very cold which was a little uncomfortable I’d suggest that this is more refreshing in the summer months when the temperature are in the 30’s. The weather was great for what we wanted at 25 degrees each day so allowed us to sun bath and go sight seeing without it being unbearable. The only downside side with the time of year was that by 5pm it was dark after the clocks went back. The beach is very stony and the closer you get to Faliraki the sandy the beach gets. Again we knew this before we booked so this wasn’t a problem. The sea was warmer than the pool and was lovely to swim in. There was a pool bar that served all sorts of drinks including a good selection of cocktails and the local beer is quite good as well. On the evening the Casino bar opens at 5pm where you will be greeted by George who was excellent and was very welcoming. The staff in the restaurant and bars work so hard and can only imagine what it’s like for them in the peak of summer… I feel that the hotel seems to cater for German tourists more than English as there were a lot more Germany’s than English but this could just be the time of year but again this wasn’t a issue for us but the fact there were no English speaking channels on the tv with the exception of BBC news was so best take a IPad with some movies downloaded or Netflix etc. The hotel was extremely clean with a nice little gym area. We can’t comment on the evening entertainment as we didn’t attend or the Spa. The pool tables weren’t included in the All Inclusive deal which was surprising but for €10 you can have an hour on the table. Great hotel and ideally located to visit Rhodes old town and Lindos on the buses which are located right outside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Brilliant 👏

We love every minutes♥️while we were on holiday for 6 nights here. It is absolutely beautiful ground area,a lovely pool bar and beach. The hotel have plenty of sunbed and umbrellas for the guests to use so no flighting for that. It always available any anytime of the day. I have to give a special mention Vasiricas at the reception for her knowledge and advice from her about Rhodes town and the area we should visit and her friendly approach. Thanks a millions The bedroom is quite basic but very very clean indeed. The maid was doing a very job. The hotel does have the building work next door so the lateral seaview I booked have been blocked by the construction site in stead but you can trust me the noise is keeping to a very mininal.we barely stay in the room anyway just the room to sleep. The Mira mare buffet restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The variety of food are great and plentyful. The difference dishes I tried are absolutely delicious indeed. I feel very healthy towards the end of our holiday. The choice of food is huge is if you are fussy eaters, you will not find yourself stuck here. We love all the food we tried, they are very tasty and delicious freshly cooked food. Thank you Marinas for looking after us and I always come down for breakfast before my husband as he love a good workout in the gym before brekky .The young lady whose is doing a fresh squeeze oranges in the morning, she is so sweet and so lovely. All the staff is so friendly here. Thanks again for looking after us. Hope to see you all again next year.
