Pros: A hotel that is perfect for couples. Although in the heart of a lively area, during the day it feels like you are removed from all of that as it is quiet and peaceful by the pool. Many staff (including the evening bar man, lady on reception in the day and the gentleman who tries to solve any of your issues who is found in the lobby) are great. Cons: NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH ALLERGIES. Unfortunately food was a major issue for us and ultimately was the main reason we left not feeling happy with our overall stay. Having read many reviews prior to booking, food never seemed an issue. However, we experienced the opposite. I emailed ahead of time to warn about being gluten-free, depsite then reminding them the day of arrival and speaking to 4 different members of staff, it took 3 days for changes to be made. They kindly offered to make me a "special meal' which I appreciated - boiled chicken arrived! That was all! The chef refused to cook for me in the a la carte restaurant, stating steak was impossible to make gluten free. This baffled us. The meat in the buffet is of a low quality and needs to be covered in sauces to mask the taste (which then made everything just creamy). No food had allergy information on which made every meal time stressful and dangerous. The selection is very limited and not what we expected at all. The salad section is nice and fresh, however be warned it is always the same selection for lunch/dinner service and so after a couple of days it is repetitive.
