You get what you pay for. We were only in Tulum for 2 nights & thank goodness we paid much more & stayed in South Tulum @ a beachfront property the 1st night….. Because my whole vision on Tulum would’ve been ruined by this property & location. It’s in the‘downtown’. Good hidden gem restaurants & there’s a Walmart like store just a coupla blocks away, but I think this hotel was built in 2016 & definitely needs some updating as you can see from my pics. The towels are hard & crunchy. The room was dusty in places, the safe didn’t close @ all, etc. There are definitely no down comforters. The pool area was cute. The front desk staff - great people - Alfonso especially! He gave us a great recommendation for dinner: Negro Huitlacoxe - excellent! Not too far by car, but would’ve been about a 20min walk thru a sketchy area. The pictures will fool you, but it definitely needs an update. Parking is free 1 there’s 2 tiny areas to park on each side of the building or you can park on the street. We were scared to eat the breakfast. South Tulum is definitely better. Better hotels, in a jungle like setting & very sexy.

Good hotel in Downtown Tulum

Lovely hotel placed in Downtown Tulum. We got a big spacious room wih a balcony. The bed was the best. Slept like a baby! The reception staff was very helpful with good advice. We have to give the breakfast the best score. We could choose from a menu. And it tasted lovely The cook/waiiter was excellent. A bit disapointed over the poolarea. No loungechairs and smaller than we thought.

Quiet and clean

Quiet and clean I loved my week long stay at this property. I was a bit down from a shoulder injury when I got here but I felt very much relaxed and at ease once I got here. The staff is friendly. The location is quiet yet a few blocks away from all the restaurants. I’ll stay here whenever I go back to Tulum.

Elements far exceeded our expectations. As first time Tulum goers it was really difficult to gauge which hotels were going to live up to their photos and website descriptions. We read through a lot of negative reviews at alternative accommodation (lots of complaints about noise from building developments nearby, uncleanliness, bad service, photographic misrepresentation etc). Elements couldn't have been more perfect. Our room was HUGE, much bigger than it looked online. The bed was enormous. French doors which looked out across the pool. Loads of storage space and wardrobe space to properly unpack, hang everything up etc. 'Continental' breakfast was great. A fruit bowl with yoghurt & granola + toast w/butter & jam + a cooked breakfast of your choice (quesadillas w/guacamole, mexican eggs, ham & guacamole etc). Water dispenser at reception so no need to buy bottled water every 5 mins. Wonderful service. Really well located - not right in the thick of it so it feels really peaceful, but just a short walk to the centre and lots of incredible restaurants v close to the hotel.
