When we arrived we were asked if we wished to upgraded our room to a family suite, which we did. We were given a sheet of paper with the list of services and amenities. The suite was a good size view of the pool. However the bathroom had no light in the shower area. The room was clean but had a broken stool. Within the room there is no further information regarding the resort. The beds were hard and the bed linen was rough like something that you would get in hospital and the cover on the double bed had a hole in it. The fridge was stacked with bottled water and soft drinks. The food was not good and as a vegetarian it was very difficult to find anything reasonable to eat. My daughter and granddaughter eat meat and fish but they also struggled with the food and unfortunately they both suffered from food poisoning over separate periods of the holiday. It was a great shame that there was no Turkish food provided. The food at Burgerland offers little to nothing for vegetarians and vegans and that also relates to the food around the resort and to the a la carte menu. There is the island area which is connected to the beach and has several shops and activities however due to the time we visited most of the activities were closed. We visited the beach as that is something I always love to do on holiday however we were ignored by the “beach boy” for quite a while as he attended to other people that came after us. I would like to think this was not because we were the only black family there but cannot find any other reason. We did not go back to the beach. There is a large pool area that gets very busy early on but fortunately on the island area there are a number of small pools that children can enjoy. Had to ask reception staff where I could get hotel beach towels and received an abrupt response. I asked in the spa about how to book session but the young lady was unable to tell me. There some shops on the lower level by the restaurant which offered a wide range of things and had very good friendly service. Outside of the hotel there is nothing but a short walk will take you to some shops in one direction and the other direction is a small mall. On Sundays there is a reasonable sized market that takes places in the area beside the hotel. Our room was cleaned and the fridge stocked daily. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful and gave us extra water when my granddaughter was unwell. The rest of the resort was tidy but we did spot rubbish on the stairs that reminded there for days. Overhaul this resort may be classified as 5 star but I found it lacking in regard to reception staff, food, in room information, cleanliness, sleep quality, beach and value for money.
