First time guest. The front desk manager Nicholas was wonderful. He tried to do everything to assist me. He was wonderful. He called in a favor for me which was greatly appreciated. He was the only employee I can speak highly of the rest of the staff is atrocious. So much miscommunication... i was sent to a chair by the pool by one employee. Only to be yelled at by another that seat was reserved for someone who had bought a resort pass. If i'm told to go to a chair by one employee, there's zero reason another employee should be coming over and scolding me to the point where I was embarrassed. I had another employee tell me I can use the pool and the beach at another property that they work with, that was not factual information. I asked for a menu to order food four times finally received it the fifth time I asked. The hotel should absolutely inform guests that there is no sun after 12. Unfortunately, with the way this building is, there is no sun after 12 pm. The service at the pool was horrific. The pool is not private to hotel guests anyone can buy a resort pass to go there. They were more concerned about the people paying for the resort passes than actual paying guests at the hotel like myself. I waited about an hour for my luggage. I was told it would be brought directly to my room. I went to the front desk to ask about it because I needed to take my medication, I saw my purse and all of my luggage just sitting there in plain sight where anyone could have walked off with it. I said something to the manager and she shook it off. She thought it was no big deal. Luggage and designer bags just sitting in the lobby unattended is completely unacceptable. Had someone walked off with my property The hotel would be fully responsible and then it would be nothing but a fight to attempt to recover the losses of my personal belongings.There is 0 reason why luggage should be left out in the open like that. In a lobby full of people during checkout. My purse alone was $5000. I was told people steal uber eats from that lobby area, so why would I not think somebody would take my bags. That's a major liability. I'm told the luggage would be sent to my room and an hour later It's still sitting in the lobby unattended????? Unacceptable and completely unprofessional. The staff needs proper training - you can tell they care about nothing but money at this hotel. They do not care about the guest's experience. The only one that did was Nicholas, however he could only do so much since he is not highest up. When I got to the hotel, I simply asked for my bags to be held. I never asked for an early check-in. They insisted on giving me one and then threw it in my face numerous times. The hotel made numerous mistakes and to accommodate me for their mistakes they lied about numerous things. "Well, we gave you an early check in and a late checkout" Correct, and I didn't ask for an early check in. I simply asked that my bags be held until my room is ready, but instead they left them wide open in the lobby where anyone could have stolen them. I was so disgusted after being at this property for 2 hours. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund, no luggage, no pool chair, no sunlight, nothing but inaccurate information given by the staff, scolded at the pool. 4 different employees gave me 4 different closing times for the bars and restaurants on the property. I don't understand why so much misinformation is given to guests at this property. One employee tells you 1 thing. The next employee tells you the complete opposite...Nobody is on the same page... I simply asked the woman manager to remove my resort fee. She said she was going to give me a room upgrade, which never happened, then she changed her story and said it was one or the other, the fact that my luggage alone was left unattended. She assured me she adjusted the resort fee on my bill, which was peanuts Compared to what I paid for the stay...when I went to check out yesterday. She never removed the resort fee. I never got the upgrade and shockingly enough my luggage was still sitting out in the open unattended once AGAIN! I asked for my bill three times and I was never given a copy of my bill... i travel numerous times a month to major cities, and I have never seen a staff so atrocious. I stay at 5 star properties, like the St. Regis and The Ritz-Carlton, and the 1 hotel. Those are all luxury properties. This property doesn't even come close to being five star. I am thoroughly disgusted. I still cannot get over the attitude of the female manager and the way she just lied her way through everything and changed her story, she was pitiful. She talked down to guests like she was higher than they were. Better than thou attitude. Then it was thrown in my face. Once again, we already adjusted your rate. No, you did not you price matched. They gave me a late checkout, but it didn't matter, because my key shut off at 11- locked out of my room for hours when I went to the front desk to attempt to get a key I was asked for identification. I had nothing on me because everything was up in the room, so I had to argue to get my belongings back out of the room. I'm glad I asked about the resort fee before I Left it was still on the bill. I was refused a copy of it I asked to speak to the female managers higher up, and I was denied. Tell me you're going to give me a late checkout to try to smooth over the endless issues at the property, then throw it in my face, have my keys deactivated?? Hopefully, this review will get me to the person I need to actually speak with. After the horrific experience, I had during my 1st day at your property with the exception of Nicholas Of course, he is the ONLY saving grace at your property
