Very clean property, grounds are well maintained. The beach is also clean, however it is not very much room for lounging in the shade. There is not many Cabanas on the beach so you have to roast in the sun. The swim up pools bars are awesome, however ALL of the mixed drinks throughout to property are more sugar than alcohol. The food at the buffet restaurant needs improvement. It seems like the food sits out too long before being replaced and a better selection needs to be offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet certainly needs an overhaul. The Hibachi, Mexican and Steak restaurants are very good. The only restaurant that requires reservations is the Hibachi restaurant. There is a 24-hour cafe on the property that offer finger foods, ice cream, coffee, pastries, fruit and non alcoholic beverages. There is a restaurant on the beach that is also recommendable that offers burgers, fries, pizza, cheese nachos and grilled chicken with a bar that offer mixed drinks. The rooms seem to have veen freshly renovated, they are very spacious and clean, however the only concern I had was mosquitoes in the room. I had to call room service to come spray the room for mosquitoes a couple of times. Property was not bad and I do recommend it, however I've been to better all inclusive properties in the area.

I was here for business and therefore didn't have input in choosing the location. I've stayed at a Dreams before. My thought is the same for both locations in that people are spending a lot of money on mediocre food and old rooms. All restaurants are not all open every night for dinner. This means you could wait over an hour to eat depending on what time you go to dinner. The buffet has a variety of foods but the restaurants have a limited menu. The quality of that food varies. We had VERY pink burgers at the grill but a great burger from room service. We had a bad pasta dish with canned chicken in it but we also had a great chicken parm from the same restaurant. The rooms need work. The chain had been ripped off our door and not replaced. The wall sockets are so worn out that plugs fall out. The shower head was being held up by electrical tape. The TV was grainy. One of our sinks didn't drain. The decorative pillows on the bed were stained. I don't think the place is dirty, but it does need updating. There are rules posted that you can't save chairs by the pool. Every morning you see people saving chairs. Some of these chairs have items and no people for HOURS. I wish they'd follow through with the threat of removing items being used to save chairs. The beach is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We wished the thermostat went lower.

Just arrived back from this resort. We had a blast the hotel was so clean, staff happy friendly and their uniforms immaculate. The entertainment team were amazing constantly working hard to get everyone together and amazing dancing. The themed lunches were lovely and made a change from the Buffett area. The bar teams also worked hard and special shout out to Eddy in the Rendezvous bar area and Alex and Marcos at the swim up bar.

I’ve had so much fun at this resort. The pool is amazing and the food has been amazing. The entertainment was beyond expecatation. The crew went out of their way to make everyone have a good time. Chocolate (his name) went well above and beyond to make our experience great.

Good but by no means a Dream holiday

First up if i could give 3.5 I would, we have stayed in much better hotels with much better entertainment for the same cost, but Dreams Punta Cana isn't a complete let down. Rooms are really nice, good lay out, our son had his own space on the pull out bed, cleaned well each day with mini fridge filled each day and clean towels delivered each evening. Entertainment team aren't as entertaining as i would of liked, however each day there was a different activity around the pool that you can get involved in, brallclet making , t shirt painting and my fave was the hat painting, nice memento to take home. Our son loved the water park the first week and this was fun place to play, could do with a few more sunbeds around the water park area. Main pools are nice and warm. There are ponds dotted around the hotel which encourages mosquitos, so bring some spray. Entertainment is poor compared to other hotels we have stayed at, circus show was really bad and kids evening entertainment was just Lets Dance and nothing else, Bingo by the pool was fun each day, I just wanted a little more from the team. Shout out to the life guards who take there job really seriously. Restaurants are ok, we liked the Itlian the best but the others are hit and miss. Menus are small but we did find something to eat at each one, more than two weeks and I would have been a bit bored of the same thing each evening. Love the 24h cafe at reception, I walked there each morning to get my wife her cup of tea. Buffet is fine, I liked the fact I could make a sandwich. Unfortunately the first week there was a sickness bug at the hotel which a lot of people came down with, not the hotels fault and the hotel team tried there best to combat this but I think they just need to understand how sickness bugs are passed around, wear gloves when touching food, sanitise regularly and the spred could of been controlled. We came in August which is huricain season and we did get hit by a tropical storm, which was exciting however we lost two days to poor weather, also the sea weed had bloomed while we were there so the beach was a bit smelly, the clean up team did an amazing job to keep the beaches as clean as possibly however nature was fighting back. Shout out to Felix who looked after our son while we sorted the rooms on arrival, top man. Overall another good family holiday, however we won't be returning to Dreams Dominicon as there are plenty of better options
