Diana Palace Hotel Zakynthos

I recently stayed at Diana Palace in Zakynthos and had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, the rooms were brilliant and impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Staff very nice and polite ,food okay,location good, room totally disgusting,(room 113) Approached reception for 2 days been promised a new room still not there.the room is the size of a broom cupboard no where to put your clothes, was advised balcony or terrace,garden view looking at a brick wall with crap all over it.the room is covered in mould me and my are struggling to breathe because we both are asthmatic also my wife has sleep apnoea

The room 113 is not fit to be let out its a very small double limited storage with 1 small wardrobe and 5 very narrow draws our clothes are on tables and suitcase. The bathroom is also tiny with limited storage space also black mould on the ceiling. Outside what should be a terrace or balcony with garden or pool view is 10 foot concrete wall 6 air-conditioning units along with someone else's bathroom window. We've asked everyday to be moved this is now our 4th day manageress is never anywhere to be found we are told to keep going back 2mrw so tonight we sleeping in the lobby totally ruining our holiday thankyou very much reception staff

Upon arrival to the Diana Palace we were a little skeptical on what to expect after recent reviews, but in all honesty, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist who broke the news to us we weren’t going to be staying in the Junior Suite that we’d booked, but they had upgraded us to the Master Suite with a hot tub! The room was beautiful. Very fresh, very new, clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable, there was a shower and a bath. Minibar fully stocked (you will need to pay for what you’ve had). The hot tub at the end of the night was the perfect way to wind down. Air conditioned room at no extra charge. Staff were excellent at all times, super friendly and accommodating. Food - whilst the buffet area is a small area, there was always something to eat, and it tasted good to us! Drinks - a little weaker than what you’d get in the UK but we didn’t expect anything more. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Diana Palace. We probably won’t be returning though, and that’s no fault of the hotels, the resort isn’t somewhere we’d like to come back too - lots of bars/restaurants and taxis are a little bit of an issue if you’re out of the hotel complex and need to get one. We returned a week ago from a two week stay at the Diana Palace. I believe all the issues visitors report are a direct result in tour operators Mis-selling holidays and not being upfront with customers when they book. The hotel is clean, the food excellent and the staff make it the most welcoming place. Stathis is absolutely incredible. Nothing is too much and he makes you feel like you are visiting family every day. The entertainment is well balanced with Helena listening to the guests to understand the games they want to play, matching the activities with those who want to take part. Helena, like Stathis made our visit even more enjoyable and when we said we didn’t want to play, she left us to relax. No pressure. The restaurant staff are wonderful. You almost don’t notice them there and yet there is never a dirty table or a struggle to find somewhere to sit. They clear your plates promptly and are courteous and kind. We had two teenagers with us and not once did we have any complaints about not having something they wanted. The location is equally well placed, not far from the airport and lots of choice in restaurants and places to visit nearby. Perfect for families. The reason this hotel has negative reviews is because travel companies sell this hotel as all inclusive (which it is food and drink wise) but forget to mention that the hotel restrict air con between certain times of the day unless you pay more. This is not ok but not the hotels fault as they clearly state throughout the hotel that the air con is only on for certain times of the day. We had to pay the extra €10 a day as when we arrived it was nearly 38 degrees. I will be taking this up with the travel company, not the hotel. All they had to do was add another €140 to the cost of the holiday and no-one would have noticed! This is a great hotel, staffed by wonderful people who do an excellent job. Pay the extra for the air con and you won’t be disappointed.
