Awesome Villas at an Affordable Price

I absolutely loved this hotel and my stay here! I decided to splurge on a villa with its own pool and I'm so glad I did. Check In was quick and easy and was brought to my room, which was a 1 bedroom villa with a pool. The room was separated from the rest of villa by a glass room with a lock. The bathroom was connected but outdoors, which gave it a nice, nature feel. There was a kitchen with pots, pans, cups, a tea pot and cutlery, a refrigerator, and a water dispenser with hot and cold water so you don't need to buy bottled water. There was also a dining room table, a sofa with a TV outside, and the room had a desk with mirror, bath robes, a hair dryer, a TV, and dresser drawers to store your clothes. The pool was amazing and had a little waterfall. The pool was was the perfect temperature to cool off after a hot and humid day. It was so convenient to just strip off the sweaty clothed from the day and jump right in. It's also near the shower, or if you prefer, there was a bath tub also. It felt so luxurious and tropical since the setting was indoor/outdoor. It had sucha relaxing vibe, I almost preferred the room over going outside in the humidity. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM and had a variety of hot and cold foods: eggs cooked to order, vegetables, potatoes, a larfe variety of breads, pastries, and croissants, chicken (though I didn't enjoy it because it was dry), fish (which I also didn't enjoy because it was fried and tasteless), cereals, fruits, coffee/teas, pineapple juice, fresh watermelon juice, orange juice, and a green juice that was delicious. The grounds were beautiful and had a serene ambiance to it. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation with the option to be near all the action, this is the perfect place to stay. If I ever go back to Bali, I'm definitely staying here again. Book the pool villa!

DO NOT STAY HERE! New management has turned this place into a dump. Moved into a dirty room, mould on the walls, leaking roof. Not to mention a pair of dirty underpants hanging in the curtains. Cold showers and rude management. Poor cleaning of the rooms. On pointing out all these faults were moved into a slightly cleaner villa. Team of cleaners spent 8 hours cleaning the vacated villa before moving another family straight in. Booked for 5 nights but had us only registered for 3, so suddenly had to find new accommodation half way into our planned stay. They didn’t care after learning of their mistake. When we checked in a number of people were at the front desk complaining about their rooms so we were not alone. Daughter got an infection that made her very sick and required medical treatment. This is a very unsafe place to stay so protect your family by choosing somewhere else.

Desamuda Delight

The busy streets of Seminyak are at the end of the driveway, yet it seems to be a world away from the noise for a relaxing beautiful Bali setting. 15 min walk to the beach 2mins for countless shops to haggle in. The hotel staff are really friendly approachable and helpful, from the concierge Ngurah who organised last minute trips taxi during our stay, to Winnie in the bar who organised us plenty of long island ice teas. The reviews I read were somewhat worrying as we hadn't been back to Desamuda for 5 years. but we were pleasantly surprised that all was good in the world. The villas are older but authentic, lovely little pools in each villa and the larger communal pools are all clean. there is room service available for food, massages and happy hour cocktails all reasonable priced. If you are a plastic family who just want a show home for Instagram pics, please go somewhere else - If you want a homely feel hotel with the lovely Balinese Staff then try this one.

Phenomenal trip!

This hotel was absolutely amazing, we were a big family of 19, we booked all villa rooms. My room was the 3 bed villa with a private swimming pool and 3 beautiful en-suite bathrooms, this room was so spacious and cleaned daily by the lovely cleaning team. Any requests to reception they came and attended straight away. Breakfast was delicious, not a huge range but something for everyone even the fussy eaters. The location of the hotel was excellent, so many restaurants and shops just outside. We were very surprised to find so many halal resturants and many indian restaurants. The road had so many massage places and it was dead cheap! We stayed 15 days and we could of easily stayed for another 15. One con is the traffic in Seminyak, it takes you ages to get out and get back in after excursions. The taxi's are super cheap, you just get a Grab app on your phone, it's like uber you can order food or taxi and even a motorbike taxi, very convenient. They have atms and money exchange on the road with an extensive array of shops. Seminyak square and the beach is 20mins walk. The flea market is over priced we bought the same stuff for cheaper on our road. The mini marts are amazing it's the equivalent of Thailands 7/11. Bali swing is a must! Go to swing heaven in Ubud, much cheaper than the other places, you get 25 swings for £25 and spectacular views and they have professional photographers that use your phone to take your pics for no extra charge, it's all included in the price. All 19 of us fell in love with Bali, people were so friendly and helpful. So much to see and do, we did about 12 excursions absolutely phenomenal experience ❤️ Thank you to Desamuda staff for making our stay spectacular!

Better than expected

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. The villas are located close to all amenities and we were able to walk to a nearby restaurant on our first night. The grounds are beautiful and although you are on a busy street, the moment you turn from the road to the path leading to the villas. It is quiet. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options, one of our party is coeliac and when we asked if they had any gluten free bread, they immediately brought half a loaf of GF bread to the table and pointed out the GF options in the buffet. The villas are a little dated but the bed was nice and comfortable. Loved the water dispensers in the rooms, I’ve always had to buy bottled water anywhere else so this was an unexpected bonus. It would have been nice to have some more sun lounges around the main pool area as there were only 4 but other than that. We were quite happy here.
