There are all inclusives in Lara Beach and then there is the Delphin Be Grand!

Phenomenal. I struggle to understand some of the negative reviews of this resort, for example, the TV screen size in the hotel rooms, seriously? This resort is outstanding - actually epic. The transfer time from the airport is less than 30 minutes which is great. The scale of the facilities have to be seen to be believed. Inside ground floor multiple bars to relax and have a drink (all serviced) a cinema room, cake/ice cream shop also serving coffee, a chocolate shop also serving coffee (barista style), 5 a la crate restaurants and of course the main restaurant which is huge with a childrens play area and wonderful outdoor seating area with different musicians across the nights such as sax. Inside lower ground floor has the immense spa, go for haman and deep tissue massage with stones, only 100 euros, is a must do; a huge gym, all life fitness plus free weights, weight machines, punch bags etc, great for later teens!; amusements arcades, the one area which could be made bigger. Does have 10 pin bowling plus pool tables but can get very busy; the Irish bar aka sports bar with multiple screens for watching football so why be in your bedroom!, also does food through the night; multiple shops which are ok price for hotel products and a doctors. Outside - Olympic swimming pool, which also has a section under cover providing some nice shade, great design; 16 and over pool for chill out; entertainment pool and family pool with sloped design which does get busy. If you want the front row seats need to be down by 830, however, you can pretty much get a lounger at anytime of day. Water park is insane - adult one where you have to be over 120cm is fab. Single rides plus doughnuts. Exit pool is laned off which really helps with safety. 9 rides in all. Steps etc very safe. Stand out feature was the lazy river -great current to take you around plus a long ride with caves and waterfalls. Super chilled. Childrens water park is also large with splash area for younger kids. All pools serviced by skater waiters...you never go wanting for a drink! Usually tip at start of day and end a couple of hundred liras. Multiple other pop up stalls for food and drinks such as waffles and ice creams plus restaurants to sit down. Favourite was the one on the beach, great kebabs and super chilled music. Also have a hair dresser for braids etc outside which again was ok priced, plus further spa facilities. Plus 2 covered table tennis tables which were in good condition and a mini go kart track which cost extra. The beach had tons of space, with good amenities such as changing rooms and showers (so many bathrooms across the site, and all super clean). The pier was lovely - had a bar, lots of seats and loungers, music plus cabanas which are an extra charge but worth doing. Also access to water sports such as paragliding. Swings on the beach provide a good photo opportunity. The fun fair at the front of the hotel comes alive at night and is great for younger children, lots of options including bumper cars, which had a tendency to slide a little so be careful! We had a sea facing hotel room in B block which was fab...a king and a single with sofa bed. Decent size and ok storage. Balcony was a good size with clothes horse, table and two chairs. Beds comfy and fine on noise - your in a family hotel after all! Shower was epic, super strong plus a decent hair dryer and extras such as nail file. Service all around the hotel was fantastic, super receptive/responsive and with a smile...very professional. All aspects of the hotel in very good condition including gardens. Guest relations very helpful, use them for booking a la cartes, not the machines in reception. 5 of those restaurants do not charge, only steak and sushi. Animations team are great at getting people involved if you wish to be, plus you have day time events such as Oktoberfest and candy land. Also mini disco for young children and kids club. Evening entertainment also best I have had in Turkey...J Lo tribute, MJ tribute, circus etc plus lots of other areas doing their own things. Am looking forward to next year already, and if you can fly turkish do...inflight food and entertainment system.

Amazing hotel, Amazing staff. The food is superb, theres always something to enjoy. Special mention to Buse in guest relations. Also, the animation team go above and be beyond to make you feel welcome. The staff in this hotel work so hard everyday. I would 100% recommend this hotel

First time to Lara area. I've noticed that all reviews here are responded to with a quick copy and paste so management are not really reading them. Arrived late at night and directed to Irish bar (nothing Irish about it, looks like a canteen too large and no atmosphere) not a good first impression in there. Plenty of food areas, maybe a bit too much fast food. Alcohol mixes can vary from can't taste it, too wow stripping your mouth. Room ok, got what we paid for although bits missing (water, dressing gowns, slippers, milk.. got fed up with requesting stuff or going down to reception. But kept spotless by housekeeping). No issue getting a sunbed. Queued for five days running for al la cartes, 10 night holiday (down in booking area at 8.03 and long queue) managed to get mexican (which I will add was good) never got another booking. Burk in customer service managed to get us a booking in Italian (wish we never bothered). Sat for 25mins, no service, drinks, water, nothing. While the 'green band guest' next to us who arrived later had management serving him and bowing. Not enough staff in there. Ate appetizer (once it arrived) and a main (picture attached) - left. Is there a kids menu in al la cartes as was never offered one and selection is restrictive for kids. Service in main restaurant was good & attentive (regardless of wristband colour). What is going on with the 'wet floor signs' here??? Do they give birth overnight. They are a major trip hazard and the ground floor is full of them, they are not even on a wet floor. They are designed to fold flat if walked into but for some reason they have them wedged with wood, buggies, mobility scooters swerving round them. Became a game in mornings to count them. Management need to get out of the office and actually look. Picture attached of the chair that I sat on by activity pool, leg was missing and no one had removed it so hurt my leg as it collapsed beneath me. Amusement arcade - rip off. Signs on desk say credited card does not include playstation or bowling alley. So purchased card and then informed it doesn't include pool table either (it's extra!). Seemed to be a problem with sliders/shoes going missing at water park. Evening entertainment, Acrobats & singers. Lazer show was good. Fun fair not too busy and a good way to use up an hour. Really didn't want to be negative but for us it's back to Belek.

AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Hi. I hope this review helps anyone booking to come here. Paid £8k for a week via On the Beach, for a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids, 13, 6 and 3. Upon arrival they tried to charge us an additional £600 to upgrade to a family room, even though we specifically stated in our booking we want a family room or two adjoining rooms. What we got was two rooms on the same floor, which was the 8th floor. The balcony is low and the kids could easily climb over, hence we have to keep the doors permanently shut. We haven’t even got a bed each!! The worst part is the receptionist blatantly lied to our faces when we checked in, saying the rooms were next door to get us away from reception. When we got to our room and realised that we had been mislead, we called reception and told to come back in the morning. If we paid £3k we could have accepted the situation, but £8k to not even have a bed each is appalling.

This was a family trip consisting of two adults and two children aged 5 and 2 years. Firstly, the positives. The hotel is generally well maintained. It’s very clean and there seems to be an army of staff around to ensure it stays that way. Visually, the hotel is impressive and the decor is pretty decent. Younger children will have plenty to do and the children’s water park was pretty good. That’s where the positives stop…. This is supposed to be a five star hotel and it falls woefully short of that claim. The hotel is very much a case of appearances can be deceiving. If you look at the photos, you’ll see shoddy work. The shower head was secured in a very poor way, the surround on the plug socket kept falling apart, sharp tacks in reach of small hands were not secured and even the signs were not professionally installed. Why not pay for a translator to make sure it’s correct? The shoddy work continues throughout the hotel. I lost count of the amount of plug sockets that were wonky or unsafe, doors that didn’t fit entirely correctly, and panels that were unevenly cut with paint brush marks over the edges. The main restaurant is best described as a free for all. There’s plenty of choice but these are not necessarily choices you want to make. The food is overcooked on most occasions and has too much salt added to it. Some of the dishes have labels to say exactly what they are but the majority don’t and it’s pure guesswork as to what you’re eating. There are some curious choices where rules are concerned and it centres around the lifeguards working in the pool areas. It would seem there’s a little bit of power tripping going on. I managed to burn on my shoulders due to a lack of sunscreen and too much time in the furnace of a sun. The sensible option was to wear a shirt to stop any further burning. Occasionally, I jumped into the pool to cool off. Nope, this wasn’t acceptable to one lifeguard who strode over to tell me off and said I had to remove the shirt. Suffice to say, I left the pool area as I wouldn’t risk more burning. There is a “relax pool” which is for those aged 15 years and above. My wife decided she would sit here during the afternoon, while I took the children out of the afternoon sun for a while. My wife can’t secure the umbrellas by herself so I helped her. Lifeguard rushed over “NO CHILDREN ALLOWED!” I replied “Yes, I know. I’m helping her to put the umbrella up, then I’m taking them indoors” His only response was to shout “NO CHILDREN! YOU MUST GO!”. So I repeated what I had said in a more indignant tone which seemed to get the message home. I got the impression with the staff that anything outside of the script sent them into a bit of a meltdown. A further observation on the relax pool - one of the rules states no loud music. That doesn’t take into account the massive PA system from one of the other pools which regularly pumps out club music most afternoons. Nothing remotely relaxing about that! A final note…this hotel is served by Antalya airport. Flying out of Turkey through this airport is a nightmare. There are repeated security checks and the whole thing takes a long time. It’s a stressful experience which really makes me question why anyone would ever come to this part of Turkey. Overall, consider very carefully if you want to stay at this hotel.
