*October 21st - November 4th, 2024 (14 nights)* Written by: 36-year-old female We booked this hotel based on previous reviews (which we now suspect may have been incentivized). More recent, realistic reviews like mine have since appeared, and had we read these, we wouldn't have booked our stay. ## First Impressions The reception area was beautiful and spotless, giving off 5-star vibes. However, we quickly learned that only this area, the poolside, and walkways were regularly cleaned. The hotel stairwell was cleaned only once during our stay (merely swept). Dirty drink marks were splashed everywhere, and the glass panels were never cleaned. When someone vomited outside our door, it remained there until the next evening when we had to track down a cleaner. Even after cleaning, the sick substance remained visible and the smell persisted throughout our stay. ## Room Conditions - Rooms are dated and poorly maintained - Shower is moldy and shows signs of multiple makeshift repairs - Walls have marks, bathroom has hair and stains - Unpleasant drainage smell throughout - Most light switches don't work - Exposed wires near TV and socket (safety concern) - Balcony door is difficult to operate, though the balcony itself is decent size - Our room had sheets and duvets but no covers - Rock-hard beds and uncomfortable pillows - Two rooms in our party only received sheets, nothing else - Baby cot wasn't provided initially despite being requested - Extremely poor soundproofing - can hear neighbors' conversations, TV, bathroom usage - Plumbing creates loud echoing gurgling noises - Also hear peeing, puking you name it. ## Dining Experience ### Breakfast - Poor selection, consistently lukewarm food at best - (bananas only available at dinner) - I resorted to taking bananas from dinner for breakfast - Only managed black coffee and banana most mornings ### Lunch - Avoided main restaurant - Pool bar food was bearable - Doner chicken and salad was the safest option - Pizza was an occasional alternative ### Dinner - Chaotic atmosphere with frequent queue-jumping such rude people How there has not been a food fight I will never know. - Same repetitive menu except for one special Turkish evening - Relied on crispy chicken fillet and salad most nights - Food quality well below 5-star standard - A la carte Italian restaurant was particularly poor - Two-hour wait for inedible food - Witnessed multiple guests becoming ill the same day with one girl puking all over the table and floor. Where staff just walked over it. ## Facilities - WiFi is unreliable, disconnects frequently - Main pool is exceptionally cold, deterring swimmers - Beach is dirty probably hasn’t been cleaned all year, though the water is warm - Overpriced water sports - Turkish bath was disappointing: - Chaotic atmosphere - Underage children in steam/sauna areas - Aggressive sales tactics for additional treatments - Medical massage was the only positive experience ## Major Issues - Hotel became overcrowded due to conference - Dining became impossible during conference - Had to eat out last three evenings (£50 taxi fare split between 8 people) - Developed stomach illness likely from a la carte restaurant - Niece injured twice from broken glass near pool, requiring hospital visit - Housekeeping was negligent: - Bed sheets never changed (blood stain remained entire stay) - Had to request towels and toilet paper - Room cleaning was non existent ## Positive Notes - Lifeguards were professional and helpful - Side town trip was enjoyable (£60 taxi fare between 8) - Medical massage service was good - warm sea water - Nice bar staff - Genuinely all staff were friendly although English wasn’t great. - ## Overall Verdict The hotel feels more like a prison than a resort. Even staff members expressed unhappiness and unwillingness to return for future contracts. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances, even if paid to stay here. *Note: Seeking medical attention for stomach issues upon return home.*
