Crystal Admiral Resort Suites & Spa

We've just spent a week here as a family- my husband, my 18 and 10 year old. The positives are great facilities for young kids- the water park on site is brilliant, close to the beach, great nightly entertainment, lots of food and drink readily available, great shops on site and great staff. The negatives are this hotel is tired (needs a makeover, especially the rooms) in comparison to other hotels we've stayed at with the same rating, this one dulls in comparison (outdated, chipping paint, dirty bedroom fridges which had no drinks in when we arrived), Mouldy shower tiles, hair in the floor etc. The hotel staff don't really speak great English which is fine but creates a small barrier. The drinks aren't very strong at all and they had no brandy, just vodka, rum and tequila. The highlight of our stay was a server on the main dining area Salih. He was so lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We would go back to Turkey but most likely wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

I had airport transport included but hotel informed me that there is no car available when we landed. Room so old stairs making noise and didn’t sleep during all our stay due to outside pipe making noise but they never fixed.. Do not go there!!

If you are used to an actual 5star hotel steer clear. If you just want to tell people you are going to 5star hotel in turkey, this might be one for you. The rooms are filthy and dated. Unable to move because the hotel was full. Entertainment team don’t really bother with English and look like they would rather be somewhere else. Buffet dining hall is a dirty shambles serving the same every meal time every day. The patisserie is decent but the floor is extremely slippy. We went to the Mexican restaurant and Turkish, i enjoyed both of these. The pool is ok but sunbed situation is disgusting. Majority of people set up their towels for the week and dont move them at all. Also we took our 17 and 15 yo who both had their phone taken by staff to write a 5 star review. So please don’t come here thinking the high reviews are real.

Good Entertainment team are great. They do their best with limited resources and no support from management. Slides are great for kids and adults. Lovely desserts, all drinks including alcoholic ones are great, live music is great. Bad The hotel is 1 hour 30 minutes far from the airport and is middle of nowhere. Sea is full of stones and waves not safe for kids. Rooms are not cleaned, toilet is only cleaned the first day you attend then never again, I had to clean with my antibacterial wipes daily so take wipes with you if you are going to go. Shower tiles are old, broken and moldy see photos please. No hello package, no toothbrush or paste,no shower caps or shampoos which you usually get on your first day on a 5 star holiday. Staff are rude to tourist not to Me or my family as we are Turkish we would fight back but they talk behind and give rude facial expressions to tourist. Overcrowded with people everyone putting towels a night before and constant arguing for table at main restaurant during meal times. Pools are cleaned every night but however we still got infection as we heard and saw people doing their number 1 in the pool and witnessed a child doing number 2 in the pool which they had to disinfect immediately. Food Food is same everyday for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast is Turkish buffet and for lunch is burger, chips, pizza, doner, grilled fish, pasta, salad, turkish gozleme and chicken it does not change these are around the snack bars and main restaurant. For dinner food changes 50 percent but it's aimed at turkish people only no Mediterranean food unfortunately other then burger and chips. The hotel don't tell you but you get one free la carter restaurant which you need to book a table at quest relations near reception, we choose the turkish restaurant loved the starters but main course was mixed kebab which came really cold like it's been waiting on the side for 30 minutes, dessert was good. Area The hotel is middle of nowhere the nearest shopping center is 30 minutes drive. Recommendation I have been to many hotels especially in Turkey hand in my heart I could say it is a 3 star hotel due to number of issues. I would not recommend this hotel especially to everyone that are not Turkish due to racism. In antalya if you want to go to a hotel I recommend royal palace and delphin imperial which I attended in my pervious years and was so impressed with cleanliness and everything else and i recommend all hotels at LARA BEACH destination which is 10 minutes from the airport local to shops and has beautiful sea. The reason why I went to Crystal Admiral because it was cheaper then Lara beach hotels but less money leaded to a very unhappy holiday regret. As a family we all are on antibiotics because it really wasn't a clean hotel.

We have just returned from the Crystal Admiral after 10 days there. In common with many who have stayed here, we would give the Hotel mixed reviews. True - it is in the middle of nowhere. An overnight flight and an early arrival means that you have to be prepared to be homeless for several hours when you arrive, but your baggage is looked after and you have full use of the facilities and dining areas immediately. As a family of five we found our room was inadequate. Furnishings are basic. Our biggest issue was having to try and make a room fit for four accomodate five with a camp bed but nowhere to move in the room. There was nowhere to sit and play cards as our little ones slept or chilled and although there are a variety of lounge areas, this means that little ones can run! We have a child with a fixation for lifts - so not easy! The central lifts are glass fronted and efficient. Side lifts are closer to rooms but seem tostop on almost evey floor and take far longer to arrive. Once you have found the grill area (outside at the back of the restaurant) then the food in the buffet is OK. It does not cater well for western diets - don't expect a Full English Breakfast - but this is Turkey! There are a lot of Russian guests in the hotel, perhaps their diets are better catered for. There are plenty of bars where you can get a range of local drinks, Fanta and Coke. Don't expect to help yourself though as all drinks are served other than fruit juice/squash or bottles of water. Pizza, doner meat, chips, rolls, cakes and burgers are in ready supply around the hotel. There are 4 a-la-carte restaurants, but I can't comment on them as I didn't use them. I have read lots of mixed reviews of the staff. My experience is only positive for the ones I met. Salah and Mehmet the waiters on the terrace did an awesome job. The tip box seems to only go to the management, so if you want to tip, then tip personally. The evening staff in the Patisserie on floor one, expecially Gemzen and Gamze were amazing. Ask them for their Coctail specials!! The water park was a bit of a disappointment for our boys. Rides were either closed or extremely busy. Although I know that this is a big hotel and we went in August. I am sure things would have been better if we had not gone in the peak season. Both pools have a depth of 1.4metres. The swim vests we took for our eight year old twins were incredibly handy. The pools were bust at times, but we went in August!!!! A mini golf course was advertised, but we never saw one it if was there and the ten pin bowling does not have a ramp or bumpers for younger children. The hotel does try to put on a number of things that make this less of a problem than it could be. The entertainment, in the Arena, in the evening is very loud! but the quality of what is on offer is as good if not better than I have seen on similar holidays.
