Cook's Club Kolymbia

Having spent a week at the hotel I would like to give a special shout out to a few members of the staff that work at Cooks Club Kolymbia. Firstly the staff at the Italian restaurant … Gianis - Provided the most exceptional customers service, very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and informative. Someone give him a raise. The Linguine Carbonara was a favourite of mine and my wifes great flavour and taste as was the garlic bread cooked perfectly. The bar man Antonis who worked at the Cooks Club Pool bar next to the Cantina made the best drinks all holiday, Mojito, Daquiri or Pina Coladas he was the man. Lastly the gentlemen who served at the Asian restaurant named Demitri who was friendly always and served us some amazing Sushi and Asian street food. Other than that amazing hotel great rooms and decor throughout.

This place is a vibe! It’s hard to find fault with this hotel. I’ve never been anywhere that looks exactly like the online photos. What you see is what you get, and more. Although the hotel was fully booked it felt very relaxed and intimate. There’s no sunbed wars, plenty for everyone and the pools have a really chilled atmosphere. The food is excellent. You’d have to be really picky to find anything wrong with what’s on offer. Staff were fabulous. Friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We particularly appreciated the free use of a room to shower and freshen up before our 7pm airport pick up. It meant we could enjoy our last day in the sun. Kolympia is a nice town but we barely left the hotel. Being able to use the facilities at Casa Cook was a bonus, especially the gym which has some good equipment, although I loved the outdoor gym at cooks club . The daily yoga sessions were great and the hike up Kolympia rock was worth it for the spectacular views. If I had to leave some constructive feedback it would be that the bed in our room (633) was very creaky/squeeky. We did mention this to reception and they said someone would fix it but no one came. We got used to it after a few nights. We would love to return again. I’d highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing, adults only break.

I went for a short summer escape before winter arrives back home. From the first minute I felt holiday vibes. The staff is so very friendly and courteous. The variety of food and flexibility with my lactose intolerance was great. I would always come back traveling solo or in company.

Cooks clubs kolymbia is a recently refurbished retreat, all rooms, public areas and pools are brand new and in perfect condition. The relaxed boho aesthetic passing through the hotel from one area to the other helps create an instant sense of calm and relaxation. Both pools are stunning featuring draw dropping views as the hotel is situated in between a rocky hill range (mountain goats included!) The Pool bar by the larger bar is flawless, a great asset to the hotel. Although we were not a fan of the Kolymbia beach resort itself due to it being very tourist heavy with large hotels and slightly tacky bars (sorry!), we found it was in the useful location of being directly in the middle of both Rhodes old town and Lindos Village, both a must visit with local buses going to both making exploring the island very easy! Tip: buses always run about 15 mins late. The staff themselves were fantastic and extremely helpful, small touches go a long way! Our overall stay was great, it’s definitely a good 4star hotel and I would definitely highly recommend. Improvements: Breakfast was slightly chaotic everyday. - Coffees taking over 20 mins to arrive daily. - Forgetting drinks orders, never bringing any milk with the breakfast tea even after requesting? - I did find it strange there was not an iron to quickly borrow from the front desk, the steaming service sounds great but not in a rush. Easy fix for breakfast is to have set staff for smaller areas of tables rather than all staff running around trying to collectively keep guests happy. Just had a cheeky week here with my partner, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is really stylish which is complemented by the fantastic staff. I would say it is favoured by up and coming young executive types which consequently results in loud music in the pool areas. However, I didn’t find it obtrusive in the least. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the food was excellent.
