When we first arrived we thought Cook's Club pretty 'soulless' and uninspiring. Even though it was February, we had booked for a month based on the fabulous reviews and their own descriptions from various websites. There was no evening entertainment apart from a singer on Valentine's Day and this bit is unacceptable as management can surely arrange something. Winter guests are surely as important as summer guests? The weather wasn't their fault but we had three massive rainstorms where the water flooded the hotel restaurant (which was very nice btw). Luckily though we only went bed & breakfast as we hoped to find nice bars etc...We found one or two at the harbour and did have some nice meals out. When we did eat in the Boheme restaurant, the food was generally excellent. Cleanliness was first class at Cook's Club, as was the attitude if we made any requests e.g. iron, extra coathangers and water was a nice touch with bottles delivered every day. Wine was extremely expensive at £32 a bottle in the restaurant. This was disappointing. We also had some sunshine and lovely days out at the local caves, cable cars up to the castle and walks along the prom. One big shout out has to go to Irem (on reception) as she was so very kind, eager to give information and generally extremely helpful. The Turkish people impressed us with their kindness and were friendly always. We enjoyed breakfast on the whole and they did cook an English breakfast for us one day. Also, when they knew we were leaving early, beautiful plate of fruit with our meal...complementary. They were also kind to our friend who had a birthday there and they brought us baklava and a bottle of wine. SO, my review is very mixed but we did cut our losses and leave 2 weeks early as we didn't want to spend a whole month there. Don't go in winter, but summer may be as good as they say!
