Colombos Beachfront

My husband, mother, and I stayed for seven nights at this fantastic hotel, and we truly couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The views from our villa were breathtaking, and everything was immaculate, well-maintained, and of the highest standard. The food was excellent—breakfast was delicious, with a varied menu that included plenty of healthy options, which we appreciated. A special shout-out to the chefs! The staff were absolutely exemplary. Kalliopi, in particular, was incredibly welcoming and an amazing host. Even though we arrived after the restaurant had closed for the evening, she went out of her way to arrange food for us from a great local restaurant and even provided milk for my mother’s tea (an essential for any Irish traveler!). Her recommendations for the yacht trip and local restaurants were spot-on. Ben was also exceptional—his attention to detail was superb, and his relaxed yet professional manner made him the perfect host. The bar staff were equally brilliant, offering great recommendations for both cocktails and mocktails. The beach was stunning, with clean and clear water (be sure to bring swim shoes), and our private pool was simply amazing. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

The hotel is in a stunning location. We had the superior sea view room which I would recommend. We walked out of the room on to our own terrace then the pool and sea were directly in front which was stunning. Watching sunset here was delightful. Also there was several occasions we had the pool to ourselves. It was so peaceful and relaxing. There is a short walk down stairs to the hotels own private beach. The beach was also very quiet. It is a pebble beach and would recommend sea shoes if you like to swim in the sea. The staff were all hard working and very friendly. The bed was large and comfy. The aircon was lovely and cold. The cleaners came in on a daily basis unless asked otherwise. Bar staff frequently came around the pool to ask guests if they needed anything. The bar closed at 2100. One problem we had was that we had a late flight into Santorini and arrived at the hotel around 2330. The reception closes between 2100 and 2200 so no staff were on the premises. We had to call an emergency number so we could check in. This resulted in us waiting for half an hour for somebody to drive to the hotel. We recieved no apology from the staff that came to check us in. They just said that nobody told them from the holiday company. Other couples we spoke to and a couple that turned up at the same time had the same experience. I would recommend if you do have a late flight to maybe email the hotel and get the emergency number to call when leaving the airport to avoid the wait. The breakfast menu was very limited unless you enjoy egg. There was several egg dishes but not much else. Although the hotel itself is a 15 minute drive from Oia. The location itself is very isolated which is peaceful and idilic. We read the other reviews about buses being frequent however the staff stated that is only in main season. We waited for a while with no buses. The taxi's on the island are expensive so we decided to rent a car- I would highly recommend this as we got to see so much more of the island than we planned.

We just wrapped up a fabulous visit to Columbo’s. We started our stay in Santorini in Oia, also fabulous, in a cliffside VRBO. We were right in the middle of the hustle and bustle and loved it. After two days there we made the change to Colombo’s and loved it as well. Colombo’s is on the beachside, off the beaten path, and absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived at check- in we were well taken cafe of. We stayed in the Villa, a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen, living room and two bathrooms with showers. Columbo’s looks brand new. We had our own full-size pool overlooking the Aegean Sea and were steps from the beach where Columbo’s also has chairs. The beach is not gorgeous but lovely to watch the waves. The bar was a quick walk up the hill and we loved the bartender who happened to make fabulous drinks. The food was also delicious. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here as this was the relaxing, resort part of our stay in Greece. The hotel will help you with restaurants in Fira or Oia and it is a cab ride to either. If you are looking to get out of the crowds, a 2-night stay at Columbo’s is perfect!

We stayed a blissful happy week at Colombo’s. Great small, peaceful hotel yet though only a short distance to the towns of Santorini. The hotel is beautifully run by manager Kalliopi. Nothing is too much trouble and she offered great advice re restaurants, visits etc. Kalliopi attention to detail and her warmth therefore led a great team Ben and Anshan who served breakfast and responsible for the excellent housekeeping. Iraklis and Konstantina organised the Bar and serving food. Fantastic cocktails!!! Did not meet the chef - but the food was excellent with plenty of choice. The most lovely hotel and a perfect stay - great pool and a very short walk to the lovely beach. Definitely will be going back for another stay.

Amazing staff from the moment we arrived. We sat down and planned our entire stay, ask for Kalliopi. We came for our wedding anniversary and stayed in the Villa. Such a great design, private pool, clean and modern. We had amazing stay and we can’t recommend it more. Nice breakfast, food and cocktails served by the pool. All the staff were exceptional. Thank you all!
