This elegant hotel is situated on the famous Negril Beach – a seeming endless line of pure white sand sprinkled with coconut trees to afford natural shade to the beachgoers. All the spacious, yet charming rooms are built around an inner courtyard in a Hacienda style, and open to a round freshwater swimming pool in the centre of the yard. The garden is almost like a lush tropical garden with dozens of trees and plants like hibiscus and night jasmine, where birds live and chirp merrily. Good non-inclusive option on 7-mile

Been to Negril several times before but at all inclusives before. Noticed the huge price difference and decided to give Charela Inn a try this time. Pros - On 7 mile beach - beautiful, flat clean beach - Plenty of restaurants on the beach in both directions - Plenty of beach chairs (with shade) - Family room option (main bedroom, L-shaped kids room with bunk beds and optional crib, bathroom inside the kids room) - Service - all staff were great, heated up daughters leftovers for her - Price - optional meal plan (did not explore, just heard it existed) Cons - Run down room - Door between main bedroom and kids room did not close properly (no latch, propped a suitcase in front of it to keep it closed at night) - Family rooms seem to all be right near the service area so heard plenty of early morning noise (~7:30am)., at least 205 was - Lots of vendors walking up and down the beach (common on 7 mile beach) Didn’t try the bar and only had breakfast at the hotel but it looked great

I just stayed at the Charela Inn in Negril, Jamaica, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere is both warm and professional, with great attention to detail, impeccable cleanliness, and delicious food with a rich and diverse menu. The beach is simply stunning, offering breathtaking sunsets right in front of you. The entire staff was amazing, and a special thanks goes to the fantastic Lisa, who made my vacation absolutely perfect

I just want to say what a wonderful evening we had tonight. Rogalia? (Rose and Magnolia?...two flowers put together? I apologize that i cannot remember her name correctly) took our reservation. It was a packed house and our food was wonderful (duck à l'orange in particular) and service exceptional (Sophie and friend even cleared plates.) When I went to ask for the check i ended up dancing for a bit with one of the lady servers which was a real hoot. Thank you for your family vibe and professional excellence.

Charela Inn the discreet charm of peace & tranquility, good company and fine food. Nothing more ... Nothing less. CHARELA INN resort sits elegantly on the famous Negril Beach, by the Caribbean Sea. Its fifty rooms and beach stretches 250 feet in width and 150 feet in depth of pure white sand sprinkled with coconut trees to afford natural shade to our guests. Beyond the sand lies a lawn and two large patios to dine "Al fresco" or simply sip cocktails while watching the sunset. All 59 rooms are built around an inner court yard in an Hacienda style with a round fresh water swimming pool in the center of the yard, and a lush tropical garden with hibiscus, night jasmine, bougainvilleas etc. As well as many birds including our national doctor bird. The feeling is one of being far from the crowds -- yet a few steps away from the world of water sports and many attractions on the seven mile beach. All buildings are of two floors. Each room has either a private patio or a private balcony. All public access at Charela Inn are designed to accommodate the physically impaired, along with three dedicated ground floor rooms. Charela Inn is renowned for the friendliness and caring of its long standing staff, many being with the resort for over 15 years. Charela's longstanding repeat guests of many nationalities brings with them a true feeling of friendship and are cherished by both management and staff.
