Celestial Hotel Luxury Suites and Spa

Beautiful Hotel with relaxing facilities and very polite staff. Enjoyed great food and unique cocktails. Excellent spa and fully equipped gym.Private swimming pool in every room and the largest public one, I’ve ever seen.Highly recommended.

We booked ourselves directly and even paid deposit in January When we arrived we saw a lot of guests who took package holiday with jet2 company and what they paid including their flights was lower than our room charge The management is not honest It’s a new very clean hotel with friendly service However the food is average It’s biggest drawback is it hasn’t got a beach and you must rent a car to go around I also found it a bit cheesy the owner has one of those cheap American car in YELLOW and he parks it in front of the hotel obviously it’s his pride and joy Well come to think of it Greece hasn’t really made it to European standards

What an amazing relaxing week away....the hotel is and your surroundings are so calming the whole week was just perfect 👌 the breakfast is fresh and always lots of selection I can't believe others are expecting more. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a small supermarket 🛒 ( uphill ) so some level of fitness is required Denis is down hill and I personally didn't rate it I preferred all the restaurants at the top. Anna is highly recommended for a little added extra to your whole experience at the celestial myself and partner both had a massage and I slept like a baby that night. The hotel is set in a very secluded area but myself and partner wanted a week of nothingness and relaxation and that's exactly what we got perfect 👌

As our first time in Greece, I really wanted to like this hotel. And it looks like it should be great, but it just isn’t. The noise from the pool pumps was overwhelming. Our room was flooded with noise from the pool pumps inside and outside. Within 30 minutes of checking in (for a 3 night stay), I asked to be moved. I was told that there were no other rooms available and the the pool maintenance company were on their way and the noise would be fixed - “guaranteed”. At first they were 10 minutes away and then they were going to be there by 5pm. At 5.30 I asked at reception again and was told that the pool people had just left and that there was nothing wrong! The noise was as loud as ever. I asked to be moved to another room type and was again told that they had no availability. I checked the hotel web site for that night and they were showing all room types still available. After I said I was going to check out the following day, I was told that they had prepared a different room type for me. Unfortunately, this room was also flooded with noise from the pool pumps. The hotel is severely flawed in its design and they cannot contain the noise of the pool pumps. The staff went out of their way to be unhelpful when I requested a room change. After one night, we moved out of the hotel and into a villa (cheaper, better, quieter). Overall, Celestial all suites was a terrible disappointment. If you go to beautiful Kefalonia, stay somewhere else. If you have to stay at the Celestial, good luck!

We stayed at the Celestial hotel at the end of June, bed and breakfast for a week. We loved the hotel, very clean, rooms very spacious and the pools was amazing. We were on the fourth-floor sea view room. Which was the end room, which we loved. We got looked after very well. The staff were very friendly & helpful, especially Sam, Maria, Nicola, and Anna thank you for your hard work. The only point that we would like to say is, because the hotel is in a remote area, which is ok. It would be nice to have some entertainment on, even if there was a karaoke evening, Greek night etc. We didn’t get a chance to meet people. I think there are plans to have Greek evenings as an area at the side of the hotel is being developed. Would love to return next year, so hopefully this will be finished. We ate at the hotel during the day, which was lovely, cannot say what the evening meals were like as we want out for our evening meals. Thank you for all the reviews that we read before going out, as the tips were very helpful. Such as bring a torch as it will get dark on way back from the restaurants. We tried the following restaurants, which were very nice, and would recommend. Denis, Gefiri Veramente, plus the Blue Sea restaurant in Lourdas. We also tried the Olive Lounge in Kastro, which is a 15 min taxi drive which cost about 55 euros return. It was well worth it, the food, and views were amazing it was a special treat. It’s well worth going. However, you would need to book. Maria at the hotel reception kindly helped to arrange the table and taxi. As all the reviews state, a car is a must, especially if you have poor mobility issues, as the hotel is situated in the middle of a very steep hill. Walking up the hill from the hotel is a struggle even for ourselves and we call ourselves fit, we did managed. However, we will be going again, before we get any older. The island is amazing, so beautiful and the hotel is great, well done to all the staff. So ! what are you waiting for. Book it, as you will get well looked after and will leave very relaxed. Tips Take a torch Good walking sandals/shoes Mosquito repellent is a must Ask for kettle, bring your own tea Car hire from day one. Go to the olive lounge for a treat. On a Sunday in lourdas, at La Signora hotel, there is a Greek night with dancing.
