Perfect for couples

30 Sep 2025
We booked this as it was an Adult’s Only hotel. We hoped it would be quiet and we weren’t disappointed. It was FABULOUS. The rooms, pools and facilities were perfect. We fully look forward to rebooking soon.

Good, but some improvements needed

30 Sep 2025
The hotel is stunning, clean and the staff good. However, the food and standards of Half Board, let it down. Everywhere we've went half board, you get breakfast and either lunch or dinner. Not here. You get breakfast and a few main courses for dinner with potatoes, vegetables or rice. Lunch and cocktails very overpriced. The salad bar and starters before dinner are poor for quality and choice. Same with desserts. No tea or coffee with evening meal. Breakfast is infested with wasps that you spend the while time batting away that breakfast and even lunch is not an enjoyable experience. Dishes left uncovered and lay out for hours. We paid for half board but ate out mostly. Quite remote, car required, or taxi is 35 Euros into Argostoli. Denis restaurant great as is the beach and staff, 10 Euros each for a sunbed. Restaurant Gefiri also very good with great staff. All in all a good hotel but they need to improve on staffing levels, food quality, staff training and the owners smile back at guests when they smile and say hello. You could tell staff were needing a day off and something with the way it's managed not quite right. Beautiful hotel nonetheless, if you do your own thing for food etc.

Beautiful hotel, disappointing in some areas

30 Sep 2025
The hotel was absolutely stunning and I had no words when I first saw the main pool. It’s absolutely huge, has a backdrop of the mountains and is spotlessly clean at all times. The sunbeds are lovely and comfy and not once did we struggle to find one free. The rooms were lovely - we had a junior suite forest view with private pool. This was on the ground floor which usually I wouldn’t like but I wouldn’t have even noticed we were on the ground floor, the terrace/pool was lovely and private (I’d say more garden view than forest view) and the room was amazing. The layout was great and the bed was very comfortable. We had a few small issues during our stay which made it clear to us why the hotel is 4 stars and not 5 stars. First of all; the food. Extremely disappointing. The breakfast had limited options and not everything was labelled which would make it difficult for fussy eaters or people with allergies/intolerances. Everything (and I mean everything) was covered in wasps. They were everywhere. I could cope with them if they weren’t all over the food. How hard is it to cover the food so wasps can’t get to them? It was also hard to enjoy our meals when we were constantly batting them away so maybe the restaurant area would benefit from some insect repellent candles on each table, as it was clear that all guests were getting frustrated with the constant batting. We were also very disappointed that we didn’t get offered a coffee with breakfast - they had an egg menu but no coffee menu?! They serve coffee on the daytime drinks menu at the bar so why not offer it at breakfast? It would’ve made the experience a lot better if we didn’t have to drink machine made coffee. It’s not hard. Now onto dinner… we were half board so had already paid for dinner to be included each night. The first night we arrived at dinner and were told to help ourselves to the salad bar before they bring over the a la carte menu, so we did just that. When they eventually bought over the menu, it had 6 options on it (image attached) but we were told there were only 3 options left; 2 fish dishes and a veggie lasagne. Neither of us eat fish. We were very disappointed that we weren’t told this before we had started on the salad bar. We told the waiter we’d be leaving to eat elsewhere, at which point he said they’d managed to find some steaks for us (where on earth did they magic them up from?!). So we reluctantly ordered the steak, I ordered mine medium and when it arrived it was so rare I couldn’t eat it. The chips were DRENCHED in vinegar so I couldn’t eat them either. So this night, I had salad and dessert for my dinner. We didn’t eat again at this restaurant because we were so disappointed and didn’t want to waste our time going back. We also noticed that dinner was supposed to be served until 10:30pm but all of the salad bar/desserts were packed away at 9:15pm each night, which meant if you wanted a late dinner; you simply couldn’t. We wasted a huge amount of money eating out at other places after already paying for our food at the hotel. I would highly recommend NOT going half board. How hard is it to cater for the amount of guests you have? There’s a lovely restaurant on the local beach front called Denis that we would recommend instead. Secondly; the housekeeping could have been a bit better. For the most part, they did a great job. On one of the days we were in our room when they arrived so we asked them nicely if they’d mind coming back later at around 4pm, but they never came back so we had a couple days without any housekeeping. They’d also come into our rooms at random times (quite late when we were out having dinner) just to empty the bin, which I found a bit strange. They weren’t very good at replenishing toiletries, they’d replenish things we already had plenty of and then leave us with no body wash and shampoo, which we had to ask for more of on a few occasions. Other than these two downfalls, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend staying here if you don’t go half board. The hotel is beautiful but in quite a remote area so you’d definitely need to hire a car if you want to go anywhere. They have free parking for guests which is very handy.

A Amazing island, Beautiful resort, Delicious restaurant 😋 A Gem of a beach A Special

The evening meal was very disappointing. Few options an tasteless! We Eat out 5 times as 1 night served up a raw steak! With no apology ect.and this came at a unexpected extra cost to us. We paid for half board and water was given at breakfast, however evening meal you had to pay, why? We went to supermarket and loaded up with water. The atmosphere in the evening was awful as you had manager and we think owner watching over every night. at least the manager was sometimes useful, but the owner we felt was certainly not approachable an didnot see him speak to any guests at all. A special touch apparently, they said that waiters used to come around the pool an serve you drinks of your choice none of that happened if you wanted a drink you went to bar yourself. Diana was extremely helpful as she helped with hiring car and advised us on where to go. Morning staff were very welcoming, with a smile always and chatted freely to guest. The beach was a walk away but well worth it as really comfortable lounges and parasols with a cheerful guy serving drinks an snacks, and a delicious restaurant just yards away. The rooms were a delight, spacious, very clean with lounges and plunge pool a bonus. Housekeepers came in once sometimes twice aday, daily clean towels, replaced any bathroom products ect No entrainment which If you wish for a quite restful relaxing holiday this is certainly the place to go. The only issue for us was the food and water issue..which could easily be resolved and would be a absolutely perfect place to be.

Very quiet and relaxing. Car hire advised.

First, the good stuff; Celestial Suites has beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, a huge pool with plenty of sun beds and is surrounded by lush gardens. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful and do all they can to make your stay comfortable. The not so good; there is room for improvement on the catering side of things, the breakfast buffet is adequate but dinner is, sadly, not up to standard. Both execution and presentation are poor and need improvement. Then there are the wasps, they aren't aggressive, but at meal times they are a damned nuisance and I think more could be done to deter them. Overall, a pleasant stay, but could be better .
