Castelli-Adults Only

My partner and I stayed in a swim-up room from late September to early October. What we remember most is the warm way we were received and continued to be made to feel welcome every day. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. When we couldn't rent the e-bikes that were included in our stay, they arranged for us to get a car instead, which allowed us to see the whole island. They put little treats such a cocktails and a bottle of wine in our room while we were out, always with lovely wee notes. Castelli also has a selection of beautiful jewellery from local artists, and the staff helped us select and wrap up the gifts for people at home. Food: the buffet had plenty of options, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and homemade. We especially enjoyed the custard filled dessert, I think it's called Bougatsa, and I love the sauce they used for vegetables and chickpeas and such (I'm vegetarian so didn't eat the meat). The room: we had our own little pool! The water flows into the other pools next to it, but everyone was very respectful of each other's privacy. The only thing I struggled with was getting my book to the bed on the other side without getting it wet, but there were plenty of other places to sit and lie down. We were lucky in that we had sun almost every day, and it was 25-27 degrees. The terras outside the room was sheltered from the wind, so it actually felt too hot at times! This week was a gift we gave each other for our anniversary, and as such we kind of kept to ourselves. We didn't join the activities, but so many did look fun. If you're looking for a bit of a sense of community, you can definitely find that here. Or if, like us, you just want a week sunshine, food, and the chance to explore a new place, then you can't go wrong with Castelli. This week was honestly the best gift. We stayed here one night due to our Tui flight being cancelled. This is a hotel that knows what it’s doing. A family business oozing with charm, great service and a level of customer service that’s hard to find. We met two of the family that owned the hotel and they were both charming. Turns out the previous 7 days were had stayed in one of their other hotels which was equally as good. Good food, lovely atmosphere and I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for your service.

I can’t put into words how incredible this place is, you won’t regret visiting Castelli. This is a family run business that will take care of your every need during your stay - The staff really care about you and will always go above and beyond to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your holiday. As soon as you arrive you’re greeted at the door with a massive smile and welcome drinks. The food is excellent and there is always a variety each day to try something new. The hotel is in a perfect place as it’s a short walk from Laganas beach and you can even walk to Kalamaki from the hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, we had the Junior Suite Swim Up Room, it had everything you could desire. Waking up and opening your room door to your own pool and sunbeds is going to be difficult to forget! The entertainment at night was absolutely brilliant, we were treated to performances from Greek Dancers, Saxophone players, Bingo nights and so much more! This place has truly excelled our expectations of any hotel and we honestly believe you won’t receive the level of service that is offered here at any hotel. A special shoutout to Eleni who made our stay extra special and truly is exceptional at her job; alongside Jordan, Despina, Dina and the rest of the staff who make this hotel truly special. We will most definitely be returning and would recommend this to anyone who would like a personal touch to their holiday, whilst being in a cosy, exeptionally well-run family hotel. Brilliant place and location. The food was very tasty and of good quality. Very peaceful for relaxation. Never any problem getting a sun Bed. Personally I found the sunbed a little low for getting off but if you moved to the head rest it was easy. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. I will certainly be returning.

If you are after a posh luxurious hotel then this is not the hotel for you, however if you want a family friendly and a home from home hotel that looks like something out of Mama Mia then is is definitely for you!!! we travelled as a 4 group of friends returning on the 14th October and was greeted by the hotel owner on arrival with a refreshing "welcome drink" which was very much welcomed. The hotel is not huge but is run so precisely by family members and staff who always have the time to accommodate anything you need. The hotel restaurant is small but we found something to eat every time and there are 2 bars on site, one in the restaurant and one by pool/evening entertainment area. Each day the staff lay out a beautiful area for lounging around...no towel rushing for sunbeds which the hotel don't allow, and early evening they transform this into the evening entertainment with table and chairs and solar lamps for the tables. During the day they do some aqua -aerobics and then its mainly just background music during the day. Once a week you get to experience olive picking which was great fun followed by a fresh spread and the hotels very own olive oil picked from the olives. The hotel doesn't give anyone wristbands which we loved as they want to make everyone feel like family and not just guests. Hotel is un-branded for alcohol if you are all inclusive, but you can pay extra for branded spirits if you wanted, cocktails are strong!!! The walk into Laganas is about 10-15 minutes with some lovely restaurant's overlooking the water and bars and usual souvenir shops. Zante town is a couple of euros on the bus which goes from the bottom Laganas or its around 20 euro for a cab. Rooms were clean and tidy and modern, nice comfy bed with a lovely balcony, ours overlooked the olive gardens which looked beautiful at night all lit up. We had a wet room bathroom which isn't massive and please watch the floor as it can get slippery, the toilet is also much higher than most people will be used to, hotel door from the outside can be a bit stiff to close so just something to be mindful of. Also for those who like to leave there balcony doors open there is a insect screen door that can come across, but beware of the resident cockerel who likes to crow throughout the night lol On arrival in our rooms we were also left a fabric shopping bag and some bandanas and on checkout a fridge magnet, it was these lovely little touches that made us love this hotel. There is plenty to do on the island if you fancy boat trips etc., we didn't do any as was only here for 5 nights Overall we all loved this quirky family run hotel, the room has plenty of space for clothes and ours had a dressing table area, it was clean and tidy and I have never been to a hotel where I have felt so welcome by the staff and they few days we had here was just so chilled and relaxed
