The Salt Festival celebrates the essential role that the salt trade played for the livelihoods of locals. This cultural festival takes place on the island of Salt Cay, on the first weekend in October. Locals and visitors come together to enjoy a day of kite flying, bicycle races, maypole dancing, live music and beauty pageants.
