Festivals and events in St Lucia in November

In November, Rodney Bay will come alive as it hosts the Mango Bowl Regatta and the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. The Atlantic Rally is the largest trans-ocean sailing rally in the world, with cruisers beginning in the Canary Islands and ending in St Lucia’s very own Rodney Bay. After the gruelling voyage, it is understandable that participants want to kick back and relax. Rodney Bay duly obliges, with a two-week ARC program of activities designed for rally participants and landlubbers alike. Previous events have included fire eating, cooking extravaganzas, and performances by local musicians.

The Mango Bowl Regatta is a three-day sailing event taking place from the 27th to the 29th of November. Sailors can demonstrate their nautical skills, but for landlubbers, there are related events happening in Rodney Bay organised by the Regatta Committee. Rodney Bay has great shops, bars and restaurants and a lively atmosphere, which only gets more vibrant during the Regatta.

Top places to visit in St Lucia in November

If you want to experience the Mango Bowl Regatta or Atlantic Rally, we suggest heading from your accommodation to Rodney Bay. Rodney Bay is situated in the north of the island and is only a 15-minute taxi-ride away from resorts such as Sandals Grande and Royalton Resort. Stroll between the many fantastic shops featuring an eclectic mix of international brands and local crafts, where you can find the perfect gift for that someone back home.

If you want to stay away from the crowds, then we suggest staying in the south of the island near Soufriere. Some of the resorts here, such as Jade Mountain Resort and Sugar Beach are utterly stunning; rooms come with views of the Caribbean Sea and the majestic Pitons, open-air showers and even private infinity pools. Visits here are truly unique, and with competitive prices in November, you can plan a truly unforgettable trip at a cheaper price than in subsequent months.
