Watersports are popular in St Kitts, and for good reason. There are many great places for snorkelling on the island and one of the best spots is the sheltered lagoon at South Frigate Bay Beach which is a haven for marine life. Follow the rocky area out as far as you like, exploring the corals, and spotting colourful tropical fish. Another great place is by Shipwreck Beach Bar, a popular beach bar with a fantastic snorkelling spot at the south end of the beach.

Snorkelling isn’t the only thing you can do on the island – of course swimming in the sea and sunbathing on soft sand is always a great way to spend your holiday, and St Kitts has plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from. South Friars Beach and Cockleshell Beach are both popular choices and kid-friendly, with long stretches of sand and since these beaches are along the west coast of St Kitts, the waters are calm and sheltered from the prevailing wind. For a more relaxing beach, head to Banana Bay, a secluded beach at the very tip of the southeast peninsula. It boasts clear waters, white sand, swaying coconut trees and uninterrupted peace.

Starting in Basseterre, the railway hugs the Northeaster coastline passing iconic landmarks including Brimstone Hill Fortress, Mount Liamuiga, and Saddlers Village.

Active kids can run off their energy at the St Kitts Water Sports Center in Cockleshell Bay. They won’t know where to start with all the exciting water activities you could think of, and more!
