Even though hurricanes don’t happen very often, avoid travelling in September as this is the peak of the hurricane season.

Smaller hotels in Martinique sell out far in advance so it's unlikely there will be availability last minute. One of the best choices for a last minute trip is Club Med Les Boucaniers.
