June is jam-packed with musical events and festivals. At the start of the month, revel in the frivolities at the Terre de Blues Festival in Marie-Galante. It's a jazz and blues festival set over 4 days with acts from France, the Caribbean and beyond, performing at restaurants, bars and Habitation Murat.

Fête De La Musique is a series of music events held across all of Guadeloupe's islands. There are concerts, restaurant performances, DJ sets, rap battles, music school performances and more, displaying a wide range of music genres. The music celebrations take place on 21st June, the Summer Solstice.

Golf enthusiasts will be excited to know that June features the Saint Francois Golf Open, an official competition stage in the Alps Tour. The 18-hole golf course in Saint Francois was designed by Robert Trent Jones, a famous architect who has completed nearly 500 courses in 35 countries.

Top places to visit in Guadeloupe in June

For an escape from the rain, head to Pointe-à-Pitre in Grande-Terre and visit the Mémorial ACTe museum, get your shopping at one of the many bustling markets or learn more about Guadeloupe's ecosystem at the Aquarium de la Guadeloupe. Alternatively, venture to Basse-Terre, where you can join a rum tasting tour at Distillerie Bologne, or take a ferry over to Marie-Galante to visit one (or all) of the country's most iconic rum brewers – Distillerie Bielle, Distillerie Poisson and Domaine de Bellevue.
