September is quiet on the events front with the revelry of carnival consigned to August so it’s a wonderful time to experience the natural beauty of the island. Whether that’s from the comfort of an oceanview villa at Maca Bana or adventuring into the Grand Etang.
Without big events, it’s time to explore what this beautiful island has to offer. Outside the sumptuous resorts, you’ll find the towns dotted with colourful colonial houses, the coasts framed in pristine white sand beaches. St George's is close to many of the incredible resorts and offers a window into the rich history of the island with landmarks like Fort George and the lively hub of Carenage perfect for immersing yourself.
Just 15 minutes outside St Georges, the Spice Island Beach Resort (one of only 6 AAA Five diamond resorts in the Caribbean) is a phenomenal choice to experience the island. Their Seagrape suites open out onto the world-famous Grand Anse beach.
In September, Grenada has an average temperature of 27°C, with highs of 31°C and lows of 23°C. September is the peak month of the hurricane season so expect heavy rain and possible storms. You still get long hours of sunshine and good weather for beach days in September, just don’t expect them to be as consistent as other months.
