Labour day is celebrated in May but for those that like a bit more of rhythm in their life, Tivoli’s drum festival, born from the town's unique choreographed style, has grown from small beginnings in the Northeast of the island to a national event.

You will after the annual Grenada Chocolate Festival, which pays tribute to the cocoa plantations and crafters that make Grenadian chocolate an award-winning, global export. Held at True Blue Bay Resort, the festival helps local communities produce ethical, sustainable, not to mention delicious, organic produce.
May’s a fantastic time to visit the island, sitting in that sweet spot between the higher traffic early months, and the quieter but inclement weather-prone later months. The weather and lower footfall lend themselves beautifully to exploring outdoors areas like Grand Etang National Park & Forest Reserve or Concord falls but if that’s not your speed then the sea breeze flowing in over the Grand Anse definitely will be.
