The best time of year to visit the Dominican Republic is from March to May. The weather is still wonderful and travelling during these months means you will be avoiding the hurricane season which falls in June through to November. Do bear in mind though that the Dominican Republic has tropical year-round weather meaning there can be the occasional light rainstorm no matter which month you travel. Travelling during peak season, December through to February will be busier but you will be there for the greatest weather months with average daily temperatures of around 30°C.
Punta Cana is the home of all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic with an impressive selection to browse through, we are sure you will find a hotel that ticks all your boxes. Punta Cana is all about the beaches, with more than 50 miles of snow-white coast that runs from Bavaro to Uvero and beyond.
Samana is slightly less of a tourist hot spot where you will find some cute boutique hotels and an abundance of waterfalls and lush rainforest to explore. Hotels we love include The Bannister Hotel & Yacht Club, Saman Boutique Hotel and the all-inclusive Bahia Principe Grand Cayacoa.
