Cuba is blessed with a Caribbean climate, so you can expect warm weather all year round. Cuba’s peak season spans from December-March, the busiest months being January, February and March, so you’re less likely to get a great last-minute deal during this season. If you want to travel during the dry season, it’s best to visit in November or April, but avoid the UK Easter holidays. The wet season spans from April – September, so there’ll be better deals and more availability during this season. Travel in May to avoid hurricane season and experience lovely sunny days.
Varadero and Jardines del Rey are the best destinations for a last-minute trip. These areas are filled with a variety of beach resorts, many of these are large all-inclusive resorts with lots of availability.
Within Jardines del Rey you’ll find resorts in Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo and Cayo Santa Maria, all of which have stunning beaches made of fine coral sand and lapped with sparkling cerulean waters. For a last-minute deal, we recommend looking into Cayo Santa Maria, as this is slightly less popular than its neighbours but no less beautiful.
