The Sol Rally kicks off at the beginning of June with an adrenaline-inducing rally car race through the backroads of Barbados. Not only is the race fascinating to watch, but there are some epic afterparties to join in on afterwards.
Revel in the frivolities at the start of the renowned Crop Over Festival, starting in June and ending in August. During this six-week-long carnival, there are street parties, musical performances, singing competitions and a colourful parade through the buzzing capital Bridgetown.
Sea temperature is at its warmest during the summer months, so June is an excellent time for swimming and snorkelling. You may even spot green turtles and hawksbill turtles as they nest during June.
For an escape from the rain, head to Holetown, located in St James on the west coast of Barbados, for some retail therapy, spas, and excellent restaurants. Alternatively, venture over to Bridgetown, where you can join a rum tasting tour of Mount Gay Rum Distillery or explore the underwater dive park featuring fascinating shipwrecks at Carlisle Bay.

If you’re travelling in June, bear in mind that it is the first month of the rainy season, however, there is also lots of sunshine. the rainfall gives some much-needed relief from the heat and humidity.
