Aruba prides itself on having more sunny days per year than any other island in the Caribbean and has on average eight hours of sunlight per day, coupled with gentle sea breezes this creates a pleasant average temperature of 28-31°C all year round. Seasonally there are few weather differences, with a little more rain possible during October to December. The driest months are March, April and May. Thanks to its southern location, Aruba is rarely affected by hurricanes or storms. To guarantee the best of the weather, we recommend you choose to travel between mid-February to May. However, Aruba is the ideal place to escape the British cold and rain at any time of the year.

As is the case with the rest of the Caribbean, Aruba is split into two seasons; peak season and low season. During peak season, hotels and excursions are much more expensive and a lot more popular, meaning that you need to book well in advance. On the other hand, the low season is a lot less busy and there can be some fantastic last minute deals to be found.

Aruba’s consistently warm weather all year round means that peak season is entirely reflective of the climate in other countries instead. Aruba’s peak season occurs between mid-December and mid-April and attracts many tourists that wish to escape the cold winters. Due to Aruba being in such big demand during this period, you can expect the prices to be considerably higher than other times of the year and for the island to be very busy.

Low season in Aruba takes place between mid-April and mid-December. During these months you can catch the best deals; all hotels drop their room rates by 20 to 50% compared to the peak season prices. Despite it being classed as low season, the unmissable deals ensure there is still plenty of hustle and bustle on the island and a multitude of activities to participate in.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker that’s looking for a fun-filled holiday, or someone who just wants to sit back and relax, Aruba has everything you could want and more. Depending on what you aim to achieve from your holiday, we have recommended below some of the best times to visit.
Aruba is lucky enough to have warm weather all year round meaning that you're guaranteed to leave with a tan no matter the time of year. However, the months between May and August are classed as the summer months and experience particularly glorious sunshine which makes it the perfect setting for sitting back and relaxing on the beach.
Aside from July which has a bit more rain, the rest of the months experience on average 3/4 days of rain per month meaning you will hopefully have an entirely dry holiday. These months are also in low season, ensuring that the beaches will be a lot less busy.
If you’re a confident diver that doesn’t shy away from a challenge, Aruba’s weather conditions are practically suitable all year round. However, if you’re a beginner that prefers the calmer waters then the months of April, May and June are great for diving.
Fortunately for all you eager snorkellers out there, there's no bad time to go snorkelling in Aruba. Thanks to its stunning crystal clear waters and array of marine life, Aruba is one of the top places in the Caribbean to go snorkelling.
Aruba is notorious for experiencing high winds almost all year round, which makes it an idyllic place to visit for any keen surfer. Although Aruba is blessed with roughly 300 days of surfing per year, March-August is the best time to go surfing.
There are many historic monuments and beautiful natural wonders dotted around Aruba. The Arikok National Park is a great place to hike and provides some stunning views of the whole of the island and beyond.
The months of May to August are ideal for exploring these as the climate is dry and the weather is hot. These months also fall into the low season, therefore you won't be fighting to get the best view.

Aruba in January
Despite January being the coldest month of the year, you can still expect plenty of glorious sunshine with daily average temperatures of 27°C. Head to Aruba this month and party with the locals as you catch a glimpse of the best events and colourful parades that occur during the carnival season.
Aruba in February
The weather in February is an improvement from the previous month as temperatures slowly increase to 28°C. Why not take a romantic trip to Aruba and make the most of Valentine’s day. Enjoy a candlelit dinner and watch the sunset from one of Aruba’s many amazing restaurants.
Aruba in March
March is a particularly dry month, with only four days of rain and daily average temperatures of 28°C all month long. The National Anthem and Flag Day occurs each year on the 18th March. Arubans celebrate the island's independence within the Kingdom of the Netherlands by singing the national anthem; ‘Aruba Dushi Tera’ accompanied by firework displays. Visit Aruba this month and celebrate the "Happy Island."
Aruba in April
April experiences daily temperatures of 28°C, with highs of 30°C making it a very hot month in the lead up to Summer. Aruba is a predominantly Catholic island and therefore Easter is a highly celebrated holiday here. Camping on the beach, large egg hunts and attending church are just a few ways that Arubans celebrate Easter. Travel to Aruba in April and experience an Easter like no other.
Aruba in May
May is the first official month of summer with highs of 31°C during the daytime. This is perfect weather for the Soul beach music festival. This five-day event features beach and pool parties, comedy shows and music concerts with artists from around the world. This is what Aruba is all about!
Aruba in June
June is the height of summertime, with temperatures often reaching 31°C. This is perfect weather to support those that participate in the annual international triathlon on the island. If you decide to partake, make sure you stay well hydrated as the temperatures are very hot.
Aruba in July
The hot summer weather continues in July with consistent temperatures of 29°C throughout the day. In July there are plenty of events to keep you occupied on the island.
For ten days each year in either late June or early July, the Hi-Winds Amateur World Challenge Windsurfing Tournament takes place. Hundreds of amateur and professional windsurfers and kite surfers from around the world gather to compete.
Aruba in August
Reaching highs of 31°C with a cool breeze, August has the idyllic weather for golfing. This is just as well as the Aruba International Pro-Am Golf Tournament takes place in August on the island every year. This two-day, 36-hole competition is held at the Tierra del Sol Golf course and attracts both professional and amateur golf players from across the globe.
Aruba in September
September remains hot, but it also marks the start of the rainy season, therefore there is more rainfall per month, but don’t let this dampen your spirits. The Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival occurs every September and takes place in Oranjestad. Attracting roughly 8,000 people, this is one of Aruba’s best known events and welcomes both local and international musicians.

The temperature in October is still steadily warm, but it's also at the height of the rainy season so you can expect around eight wet days throughout the month. Aruba is a great place to celebrate Halloween, with many hotels hosting trick or treat events for the kids and fancy-dress parties for the adults.

November is the start of Aruba’s winter; however, the weather is still very warm with temperatures of 27/28°C. This provides ideal conditions to watch the Aruba Heineken Catamaran Regatta that takes place every November. This catamaran event is one of the best in the Caribbean and welcomes sailors from all over the world to compete.

With sunny climates, Aruba is the perfect winter destination. Throughout December, there are many Christmas celebrations across the island. The malls and hotels are draped with Christmas decorations and the Christmas spirit can be felt all around with bands singing and performing Christmas music.
