This hotel is located directly beside the sea on the south coast of Barbados. It comprises a total of 94 accommodation units, and in the new hotel wing there are 28 rooms and studios with views of the island or the sea. The renovated and extended wing with four floors includes 48 studios with island views, as well as 2 apartments with one bedroom. In the main 14 renovated superior rooms are situated. The beach terrace of the on-site restaurant will provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy the breeze and views while sampling the delicious dishes. All rooms and studios are tastefully decorated and come with cable TV and Internet access, as well as individually controllable air conditioning as standard.

A disappointing experience at Butterfly Beach Hotel, from reception to check out

We arrived at Butterfly Beach in time for dinner, the welcome from the guy on reception was frosty. There was 30 minutes of dinner time left and he said he would try to get us in. We were offered left over burnt and dry barbecue chicken and fish, no starter or dessert. Things didn’t get better. For our 5 day stay we found the staff to be more interested in standing together and chatting with each other than tending to guests. I don’t remember one member of staff asking how my meal was or cracking a smile.They were never proactive, and when asked for something were slow to respond. I gave up asking for coffee at breakfast and just helped myself. The restaurant was like a staff canteen and the quality of the food was poor. The decor throughout is tired and overdue a refurb. At checkout we were not asked how our stay was and I didn’t feel the receptionist even cared. I would not recommend this hotel and certainly wouldn’t stay again.

Fantastic place to stay

Stayed at the butterfly beach hotel with my family it was my second visit to this hotel and we weren’t disappointed the staff are brilliant in all departments rooms are well kept it’s a family run hotel and you can tell we spoke the owners at the Monday rum punch party they are lovely people I would recommend this hotel to anyone food in the restaurant was great also bar was good happy hour keep doing what doing because it works thank you for a great holiday

We had no problem except when we went to the Reef. My husband prefers diet coke and the reef doesn't serve diet coke, only coke zero, so he bought some bottles at the market. He and a friend went to the Reef and ordered two drinks, but was told they couldn't have their diet cokes in their possession while sitting their. That upset them and they canceled their drink and left. Maybe you should adjust that rule? Some of the servers at the Reef could be more friendly. Other than that, it's a great secluded place. Very clean and beautiful views.

Want To Make Others Aware!!

I booked this hotel for 7 nights and I wanted to confirm my reservation. I called the hotel and was put through to the reservation team and a lady answered the phone. I said I wanted to comfirm my reservation please. I was met by a silence then ….go ahead…. Tone got worse…. GO AHEAD !!!!! I was shocked in disbelief at how rude she was. Imagine what it’s like when you arrive. I would never ever stay at this property
