Booked a room with a harbourside view. Really glad I did. The balcony had a superb view of the harbour and the swing bridge. Sitting out, watching ships come and go as the sun went down was fabulous. Facing out over Brion Square, there was some street noise, but with a white-noise sleep aid I did not find this intrusive. Breakfast was great and served outdoors. The hotel was able to store my luggage on check-out until my evening flight departed. There are fast food places and other restaurants nearby. There are some nearby shops for snacks too, but I was not able to find anything that resembled a proper supermarket within walking distance. This is an expensive place to stay, but then prices for everything are pretty steep on Curacao. I felt that, for the one night I was in Willemstad, this was worth it. It’s a classy place to stay and very well-located. But had I been in town longer, I’d have been forced to look for somewhare a bit more budget-friendly.
