We’ve just come back from 10 days at Botanik Platinum and the hotel really lived up to expectations. It’s a long review but there weren’t many British reviews before we arrived so thought it might be helpful. Food and drink was great and seemed available constantly! We loved the burgers, pizza was delicious and kebabs were amazing. Waffles 3-4.30 were tasty too…my jeans are definitely a lot tighter! Themed nights were a nice touch - loved the sushi! Always something for kids in the kids section and chocolate fountain was a big hit! Main hall gets busy but we always found a table even if it took a few minutes. Staff really quick to serve and food was always hot. One thing I noticed was that the fruit was perfectly ripe which isn’t always the case in AI hotels. We made use of the late night snacks in the Irish bar too. Cocktails were lovely in the Secret Garden and the barman kept our drinks replenished all night! I also enjoyed a morning coffee from the coffee cart and you can get ice cream (it’s not quite proper ice cream though) the patisserie was delicious on main lobby floor! The hotel has so many pockets of areas you never feel like it’s busy (apart from meal time which got very busy but that is normal for all inclusive). We spent nights on the pier, entertainment area, secret garden, lobby and Irish bar and was never overcrowded. Lots of games like UNO etc in the -2 lobby to play for free. Evening entertainment ranged from professional shows (Michael Jackson was great!) to traditional Turkish music to classic ballards. We’re never overly bothered by what’s on but there seemed to be a lot! Notice boards are really helpful near towel stand. My two boys loved the entertainment area which had rides, foosball, shows, gaming room and added extras depending on the night. Candy floss and popcorn free too! Can get quite busy and not everyone grasped the concept of a queue 🙈 but that is to be expected! We did laugh at the Candy Land day though as it really is one big rush for sweets, however, I was prepared for this from my research. The animation team announce it and count down before opening the area so of course there will be chaos 😂 we took our time and kids got plenty of sweets without pushing and shoving. One man had a pint glass filled with sweets!! Tip is don’t rush, there’s always enough and to accept there will always be some greedy people! Pool areas were brilliant. So many to choose from so it never felt too busy. We went to put towels down at various times and always found beds. I think the latest was around 10am (no towel rule before 8.30 means it’s a relaxed start) We preferred to be near the slides so we could see the kids. There’s lots of shade all day and the skate team were fantastic bringing drinks round although I did feel sorry for a few who slipped on the floor! There’s a fruit cart that comes round and cuts up fruit. My boys (6 & 9)became really confident asking for drinks and food etc which is a testament to how helpful staff are. Tip: You can blow up your inflatables near towel stand also. Life guards were firm but fair and stopped any silliness on slides which gave me reassurance. Some hotels allow children to become quite dangerous, especially when younger children near, but this was not the case here. There were two lots of slides. My boys preferred the smaller but equally fast ones, but we did go to the bigger ones a few times. Us adults also enjoyed them even though we shot out upside down! Lots of smaller splash pool areas too. The beach was pebbled and quite the challenge getting in! I’d recommend sea shoes. It gets very deep quickly and quite choppy but my boys found it hilarious being knocked back in by the waves. It’s nice just to pop down there for an hour, rather than set up there for the day. Rooms were spacious and had lots of nice touches such as toothpaste, fully stocked mini bar (chocolate and pretzel type snacks) for free. Rooms cleaned and towels replenished daily. Balcony was small but adequate. We were facing a very busy road which wouldn’t usually bother us but the door was not sound proof at all so it could be quite loud through the night with cars honking horns, however we always have white noise on through the night so it certainly didn't spoil anything. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space. Shower was good and comes with shampoo and shower gel. If there was any tiny negative it was the a La carte. It says you can book 1 day in advance all day but in reality you have to queue up early in the morning in a big line not actually knowing what is left or whether you will be successful. We queued and all that was left was Lebanese. We ended up not going as kids didn’t like anything on the menu - it was a panic booking. I think an online booking system would be better. It would stop the queues and allow us to select what we actually want and probably stop people like us cancelling! Finally, I just wanted to mention how clean the whole place was. Staff honestly work tirelessly and relentlessly to keep the grounds and different areas spotless. Constantly sweeping, mopping, emptying bins, picking up rubbish etc. Gardeners work all day making the plants and grass areas lovely. Staff are so accommodating in bars, adding things like nuts and melon slices. There is nothing they would not do. The animation team were also fantastic and catered for both children, teens and adults equally. From aerobics to darts, water polo and Olympics themed events, there was always something on the go for everyone! We would not hesitate coming back to either Botanik Platinum or another Delphin resort! We’ve previously stayed in Trendy Lara (Lara beach) and this surpasses by far! Thank you again for a wonderful holiday :)
