Lovely Hotel

Were moved to this hotel after a disasterous two days at the Akti Imperial (avoid at all costs!) This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms with stunning sea views. The pool is lovely and clean and there is a lifeguard on duty at all times. A very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere throughout the hotel with cleanliness very obvious. The restaurant has some of the best food I have experienced at a hotel buffet. Very high quality, hot and varied. My only complaint would be that on a Thursday night the buffet is all Chinese /Asian food (which I do not like). Most people loved it but as there were no alternatives (even the two soup choices were Asian) I was reduced to having a salad and chips. Not a great hardship but it would have been nice if there was an alternative choice for people.

Terrible customer service

We were 2 days, disgusting smell in the hallway, some problems with the sewage system, on the second day in the evening lukewarm water in the shower, the next morning already icy. I went to the reception was informed that after all, malfunctions happen And what do I expect. I asked that since I paid for a standard of 4* should be met, and if not then maybe some compensation - the answer that they are repairing and will be and what I want and generally that I should go away. They did not even offer the proverbial beer as compensation. I said I was evaluating it and they didn't care, so I hereby do. Fatal customer service experience. The hotel's glory years are behind it, the food is average, omelets for breakfast somehow stinky, in general I do not recommend the experience.

This is the 1st time i have been to Rhodes and i have to say the whole experience was impeccable...our room on the 3rd floor 309 was so clean...the bed was really comfy...everything you need...toiletries supplied...cleaned every day..lovely crisp clean bedding and pillows...we sunbathed on the sunbeds on the beach that had the padding on as they were higher to get up from as i am somewhat curvy 🤭....we were hb...the food was 1st class...great quality and the evening food was so varied and well cooked...it really has been the best hotel and location i have been to...the staff were so friendly and polite and nothing too much trouble....would defo come back here again...one last thing...the hotel is very central to lovely bars..restaurants and shops...the weather was perfect too...the icing on the cake😊
