Perfect view & great service throughout

We stayed here for 4 nights, the first night we were not 💯 satisfied with our room and the manager was more than happy to change it for us and we where 10 x happier as it was amazing and the view from our private balcony area was fantastic ! So thank you for that. The whole property is very nice, the view from the pool area which doubles up as the breakfast area was incredible. The property is ideally located just a short walk down the coast line from Fira & just 2 mins walk from a pick&drop off location for all transfers tours etc. It also holds the sun for most of the day for the sunbathers out there. The team gave us some great suggestions for things to do and tours etc, which we took them up on with a private tour of the island which was amazing. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that wishes to have a great experience . Thank you again 🙌

Most Stunning views of Santorini

I have never stayed in a hotel with such a view. The hotel is atop a cliff and you can see amazing blue seas below and one of the best sunsets i have ever witnessed. Frankly, the Oia sunset view is over-rated and crowded as hell. Better to stay in Firostefani and see the sunset in peace. What a hotel, what a view. I have never stayed in anything like this. The hotel has incredibly helpful and polite staff who will help take your heavy suitcase up and down the several stairs. It was cold so don’t use the pool, but the views from the pool are stunning. The hotel has free breakfast, but no buffet - you choose what you want from the menu and voila, it's served. The other strange thing i found was the room has two rainshowers! never seen that ever in any room! The only downside I found was the room has no international power plug, so do remember to have a converter with you. Whatever, the views are THE BEST.

It's like stepping into a postcard. Located below the main walkway in Fira, we missed the entrance at first - Fira is hard to navigate on GPS. Inside, the hotel is a maze ... we still sometimes took the wrong way after 3 days. But facilities, view, quality, peace, cleaning and staff are all top notch. If something is off, it's fixed immediately. Our wifi was down at one point, and the fix-it-guy arrived back at the room before I did. Reception is also super friendly and have many connections in town for discounts / better tables / etc. and many travel tips as well. It has a kitchen for good and varied breakfast and simple meals, and a well stocked bar ... Christos the Bartender (one of many staff highlights) make solid drinks and good honest conversation. Cell phone coverage is low at the hotel due to the location below the main street and inside the caldera itself - but wifi is fine. And the location means you rarely hear the town, even though it's a few stairs away (Fira has many stairs, you'll come home with good legs). Cruise ships are heard with their shipwide speaker announcements, but not on an annoying level. And if it's windy, some of the balconys have noisy sunshades. But the style, the cleanling standard, the location, the staff and the view means we're definately coming back.

Belvedere pros and cons

We booked two rooms for two nights. I booked the economy room with no view (which I expected). I did not expect it to have no window at all for fresh air (other than a "window" over the bed that opened into an interior hall with a ceiling light shining in.) Nor did I expect it to have no wall mirror for dressing. The booking process was confusing. I was initially quoted 190 euros per night thru an email and because I didn't book thru the email, but instead on their website, I was charged 240 euros per night. So pay attention! We were offered an upgrade to a suite however the suite was on two floors and the steps coming down from the upstairs bedroom were too steep for a middle of the night trip to the bathroom. (plus there was a stain on the bedspread and makeup stains on the sofa) The pool area and views were great and the breakfast was good. The staff was lovely.
