Perfect Beach and Water Villa Experience

We spent 2 nights in a beach villa and 2 nights in a water villa – and both were absolutely amazing. The beach villa gave us direct access to soft sand and tropical greenery, perfect for peaceful mornings and sunset walks. The water villa was equally stunning – waking up to the ocean and having private steps into the sea felt like a dream. The room was beautifully designed and very private. Service throughout was warm and attentive. A SPERCIAL THANKS to Rau, who took great care of us and made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend Baros for couples looking for a romantic and luxurious getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Disappointing

Baros had been recommended to us but we found it sadly lacking in some areas. We stayed in a water pool villa which was shabby and in need of better maintenance and upgrading. Sunbeds were old as were their cushions which were stained and uncomfortable.Housekeeping seemed disorganised and could arrive at any time - poor quality towels and bedding often ripped. For some reason our deck and pool area were never touched by housekeeping leaving us to arrange the sunbeds and towels together with us moving cushions overnight and in bad weather…. Something we have never experienced at other 5 star resorts. Our butler Shinta did her best to resolve all issues we were having and moved us to a different villa … sadly although that villa was an improvement we still experienced further problems with one being the need for the carpenter to be wielding his hammer at 10.30 pm only to be called back again the next day as he hadn’t resolved the problem sufficiently! On a more positive note the food in Cayenne and The Lighthouse were excellent and the meal we had in the Lighthouse was the best meal we’ve had in a resort for a long time ! Lime restaurant was just average and the breakfast staff for our first 3 days were poor. The island is lovely internally but we found it bizarre that apart from a small section by Sails bar there is no access to any beach unless you are in a beach villa. You need to do much better Baros and apart from the food in the 2 restaurants mentioned we wd consider you in your current state to be no more than a 3 star resort ….sadly It is not resort or island we would return to.

Beautiful Island

We had the most amazing honeymoon on this beautiful island. The beaches were stunning, the wildlife was incredible and the food and customer service were absolutely first class. We would both throughly recommend the Baros, Maldives resort. We would like to extend a huge thank you to Sujata and all the staff at Baros for making our stay so special!

Baros was just fantastic. We got lucky with the weather. despite the monsoon season rain and storms really weren't an issue. During our 7-night- stay it only rained once during the day. For five minutes. The food is amazing throughout. Even on the last night, they managed to surprise us with delicious variations both at breakfast and dinner. What makes the place truly special is however the staff. First and foremost a massive shout-out to our Butler Rau who was just the best and most professional host you could imagine. At the restaurant Meisi and Justus were always ready for a laugh and made us feel so welcomed. Prajakhta at the fruit station was also super heartwarming and skilled. My wife is a wheelchair user and we have to say that Baros is excellent at making the place accessible. The main pathways are easy to navigate with a manual wheelchair even though they are sandy and to approach the beach where the sand gets really loose a beach wheelchair was provided. And carpenters built ramps to access our Villa which made it even more perfect.
