We had the most amazing one week stay at Baros for our 20th anniversary.Everything there far exceeded my expectations the Location , the food and the service were next level ! The Staff were all amazing and my one regret is not writing down all their names , Rueben &Naiz at the dive centre ,Sukma and Mesi at the Lime Restaurant , Azaam our dedicated butler,Justice one of the waiters. Special thanks to Chef Ken our "homeboy" from Botswana who really made our trip special with all his efforts .

Fantastic experience in baros

Baros is a long-established resort and all the staff are friendly. In particular, Butler "anas" is an expert who helps you have a comfortable and perfect holydays. A variety of foods will satisfy you. I recommend Water Pool Villa. We want to visit baros as soon as possible. Thank you baros.

Our 8th visit to the Maldives but our first time to Baros, we wanted an island that we could get to by boat rather than seaplane. The staff were very welcoming and our butler Rifaau was excellent throughout the holiday, really helpful. My wife had a spa and massage with Lily and said it was the best she had ever had, Lily and several of the staff hailed from Bali and they seemed like a fun group. Meisi welcomed guests into the restaurant and had a knack of remembering names which makes guests feel good. Staff who deserve special praise include Aboy on the Teppanyaki and Toto at the Cayanne Restaurant who both did a lot more than just serve the food, they added great value to the experience. The only weak point was the Lime restaurant in the evening which was so dark that it was difficult to build any rapour with waiters and hard to see the food. By contrast at breakfast the same venue was lovely and much friendler. Breakfasts were our favourite as it was the only time we could mix buffet with a la carte, the restaurants had no evening buffet option which doesn't suit everyone. A mix of the two would be perfect. The fact that nobody was on all inclusive and all drinks had to be paid for meant the bars weren't occupied so much in the evenings so the atmosphere not as good as it could be. A new rule in the Maldives to add 16% tax to every order plus the Baros 10% tip and leaving a gap for a further voluntary tip might have put some people off. Nothing Baros could do about the tax which is new in the Maldives but it must have had an impact. The beach was lovely and very quiet and the snorkelling close to shore was excellent. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend a trip to Baros.

Great place for romantic stays

Warm welcome by the crew with sustained attention from personal butler (Shinto) for the whole holiday period. Food and service were excellent. Great island to enjoy snorkeling, sunset cruises and serenity. We stayed in water villa and water villa with private pool which were maintained twice daily. Definitely recommend for romantic stays.
