This family-friendly resort is situated in southern Kefalonia, close to Avithos beach. This is a lovely, fertile region where olive trees and citrus orchards abound. The coastline faces the tiny island of Dias and offers magnificent views to the island of Zakynthos across the channel. The resort's location makes an ideal setting for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. The nearby village of Svoronata is never crowded with tourists so there are no intrusive noises or sights to hamper your relaxation and private time. The resort is a perfect place for a holiday and an ideal base for exploring the island. The nearby villages of Kaligata, Kourkoumelata and Metaxata are charming local villages each with its own character and history. Guests will find restaurants within 200 metres of the accommodation, whilst shops are 1 km away. The beach resort of Lassi and the capital of Argostoli are 8 and 10 km away respectively. The airport is 3 km away and the transfer takes approximately 20 minutes. This air-conditioned resort is a brand new complex, which has been built in the traditional Kefalonian style and is set in spacious gardens. The living quarters are well designed and decorated, combining elegance and comfort and have all the amenities for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Property facilities include a lobby with hotel safe and currency exchange facilities, a café and snack bar, fax services and an Internet corner with WIFI access. Guests can relax in the TV lounge, which features satellite channels, and can leave their cars in the private car park. The resort offers disabled access.

Great Resort

Fantastic resort for families! We had a great week here with our daughter and granddaughter. The rooms are lovely, interior designed very tastefully and the breakfast and dining area is beautiful they have just had all new furniture delivered and it’s lovely. The food is really good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The pools is the cherry on the top!

Fantastic holiday! Highly recommended!

We are very sad to be leaving our wonderful holiday today. Avithos resort, staff and facilities have been excellent. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable, cleaned daily and towels changed every third day. The staff were friendly and so helpful! Hector was a wonderful friendly shuttle driver to the beach and some tavernas. Nothing was too much trouble. We spent fantastic days at Avithos beach, Ai helis beach, Queen bee boat trip and Argostoli. We have seen so much nature too, pomegranate, lime, orange, fig trees, stunning flowers, dolphins, seals and fish on Queen bee. Turtles at Argostoli. Cats, cicadas, geckos, bats on walks. We highly recommend the local tavernas (Esperides, Dum spiros, fois) and the hotel food. We experienced Greek music at fois on sat night and they had an amazing singer. The hotel pool was awesome and floaties and toys are provided by the hotel. Huge thank you Avithos! Best holiday ever!

We stayed for 7 nights at the beginning of August 2024. We had an upgraded family room, which although wasn’t what was advertised in their promo pictures, it was a lovely room (pictures on website show a much bigger room) Front of House - Sophia and Kristina couldn’t have been more helpful, they were wonderful. We had many dealing with them both and they helped us in every possible way - they were both delightful to deal with. The gentleman was also extremely good (but didn’t get his name) Bar - although very expensive the food was very good. For a club sandwich you are looking at €15. For a pint of local beer, it’s €7. The pool bar is immaculate and the staff are amazing, especially the young lady from Romania. Pool - immaculate, lovely and clean Grounds - perfectly presented Location - the hotel is in a sleepy town, you need to use the free shuttle (Hector) to local restaurants but to get to Lassi or Agostolli a cab is very reasonably priced at €20 - €24. All in all a lovely hotel perfect if you want peace and quiet. Highlights; 1) The staff 2) No battle for sun beds (more than enough) Lovely break was enjoyed by all.

We stay at Avithos every summer as it’s our go to place. We love the resort staff who are really friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of Restaurants in the area to choose from and several beaches, plus a nearby a bus stop down the road from the resort which takes you to the main town of Argostoli. Avithos has a very relaxed and peaceful vibe about it and is suitable for families and couples who want something without on-resort entertainment . We always find ourselves going back to the same place as it’s a little piece of heaven and our little one, every year, always makes friends in the pool. You’ll find some of the same couples and families come back again and again. We all love it there so much! Staff always goes out of their way and every year Christina and team ensures we have a fantastic stay. fantastic service, beautifully designed rooms, well kept communal areas as well as a very clean swimming pool. You can lounge by the pool and enjoy your lunch and a couple of cold drinks in the sun. I would recommend this place to Anyone who wants to stay in a place which is luxurious down-to-earth and very friendly good choice of breakfast /lunch, who enjoys taking a stroll to nearby restaurants, beaches, and easy access to local bus to take you to nearby Lassi onto Argostoli. We highly recommend Avithos to anyone who loves a friendly resort, beautiful rooms, a decent sized pool and good food… ♥️No doubt we’ll be back again x

Perfectly peaceful friendly and well located resort for adults and children. We’ve booked again!

This is the most fabulous hotel resort for children and adults. We’ve travelled across Kefalonia over years without children and stayed in villas. Now with an eight year child we wanted to find a resort that offered the peace and setting we value as adults whilst ensuring our daughter had a fabulous time too. We found it. This is a beautiful resort, lovely rooms and beautiful grounds which are so well kept. The staff are so very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible. They even rescued a small bird my daughter was concerned about! From the moment we walked in to the peaceful and beautiful setting and were greeted by lovely staff we knew we chosen well!
