We've just returned from a lovely 7 days on the Premium All Inclusive Package at the Atrium Prestige. Arrival Our flight landed 8pm and we opted for a private taxi transfer (~1 hour 20, seamless process having booked by emailing the hotel a couple of weeks in advance. Cost 115 EUR and was able to add the charge to our room). Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted at reception with a refreshing drink and after a quick check in with all necessary info explained, a lovely Porter (Yan, I believe) took us and our luggage via a golf cart to our room. This wasn't just a 'from A to B' service, he gave us a full tour of the hotel, explaining all the different areas and even spotting the local deer that were in the grounds. As it was late, we had plentiful cold food and drinks waiting for us in our room. Room We had a Deluxe Sea View room with Private Pool (room 3045) which was amazing. Very centrally positioned, no rooms above to hear footsteps / moving furniture etc. and a great sea view. Spotless and cleaned twice per day with fresh towels, linen etc. Restaurants The main restaurant buffet was the best all inclusive buffet we've experienced. For breakfast, there was every breakfast dish imaginable (that also changed slightly each day), along with table service for drinks with a great sea view. For dinners, in addition to the buffet there were 5 A La Carte dishes to choose from and a nightly theme (think a metre wide ice tank covered with King Prawn's for seafood theme) The Asia and Thalassa restaurants were our favourite A La Carte's and have a more fine dining feel, being positioned right on the sea front, whilst the pool restaurants are a little more relaxed. Jani and his team's hospitality at the pool restaurants make them well worth a visit though! We loved the beach and pool bar for lunch; Gyros (pool), chicken wrap (beach) and the greek yogurt bowl (beach) were among our favourites, the fries were phenomenal! Being able to order food and drink via the app was so easy and felt almost too lazy! App The app is fantastic, only able to login with your 'secret code' when you check in but from there you can book restaurants and use for ordering at the beach or pool. We never had an issue booking the A La Cartes (you can only book a few days in advance) and it was nice to be able to see all hotel information in one place. Service As with the many reviews we read before we visited, the staff really do give an excellent level of service, especially given how hard they all work. A great example of this was when we were dining in the Thalassa (Mediterranean / Fish) restaurant, and we asked if we could have an Asahi beer that is not on the menu but is at the Asia. This could have been an easy 'sorry that's not possible' (especially as we were all inclusive so were asking for this for 'free') but the Maitre d' (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was fantastic and said 'of course, no problem' and a few minutes later we had the Asahi, and several more brought over throughout the evening. Management were always very visible at all times of the day and appeared to be genuinely interested in guest's experiences. Facilities The grounds are beautiful, along with the beach (great for snorkeling and more sandy than we expected, we didn't have beach shoes and never struggled). We never had any issue getting sunbeds, even if we turned up at 11 or 1 or any time of day. We hired a car for one day from the car rental in the hotel (120 EUR for 9am-9pm Audi A3 convertible, ~60EUR for a smaller car) which was great as we visited Lindos (worth a visit but very hot and busy) and used the Dine Around program to get lunch and use the pool at the Atrium Palace - ask reception beforehand and they'll give you a voucher to use. We personally much preferred the open layout and calmness of the Prestige, but it was great to have the opportunity to visit the Palace. We played mini golf one morning, I joined a morning yoga class and the evening star gazing was amazing. There's also a great mini-market on site which has everything you could need. On our last day, as our flight wasn't until 9pm, we were able to get a late check out until 1pm for free, and then we were able to use a shower room later on in the day (~4pm) along with still being able to use our all inclusive food and drinks, so we felt we were really able to make the most of our day despite the late flight. Some (very!) minor suggestions for management. They really are minor which is testament to how great our overall experience was. Rhodes is quite windy, so often when on the beach or by the pool, empty glasses or plates and condiment/straw wrappers were easily blown away. Adding small bins to the tables or making the cup holders big enough so that the cocktail drink glasses could be secured in them would make this much easier to manage. We had little birds nesting in the 'outdoor' corridor right outside our room, which for my partner, who is a light sleeper, woke him up with birdsong in the early morning. Reception were really helpful and offered us a different room (we viewed but decided to stay where we were). If it's possible for birds to be encouraged to nest fully outside, rather than just outside the rooms, this may help, although we may have just been unlucky as by day 5 the birds had fled their nest and problem was solved. Being British, we always asked for English Breakfast Tea for breakfast and usually specified to also have milk. Sometimes milk arrived, sometimes it arrived heated (not normally necessary for tea, more for coffee) and sometimes it took asking a couple more times for it to arrive. Given there's a lot of British and German guests who will normally have tea with milk, this could be a quick training to save waiters time by being asked multiple times or having to heat the milk unnecessarily. Again, just a minor British thing 😊 Overall, we had high expectations and Atrium Prestige more than lived up to these, a fantastic holiday all round.
