Atlantica Beach Resort

Honest review after 1 week stay 2 adults. When we arrived late at night, check-in was quick and easy. The sandwiches that were provided in my opinion, could have been a little more filling after a long flight because they were a bit stale and bland. My partner had already asked for a block with minimal steps before arriving because I have asthma. He requested block S, and we were given room 2135 in the block over in R. Although there were still quite a few stairs to and from our room, this wasn't too challenging. I think it is impossible for there to be no steps given the way the hotel has been constructed. Our room had a partial sea view and it was beautiful. The next morning we went to breakfast, we chose the Italian over the main restaurant due to its location. The first few days we remained at the pools directly beneath us, known as the 'quiet side', there was a pool bar that served burgers and gyros throughout the day along with some wraps and small sandwiches (the only food offered this side is snacks), and really great bar service. However, the all-inclusive drinks might need to be clearer. Certain things were mentioned as premium that were permitted and there are more cocktails offered that you wouldn’t know about if you didn’t go to the main bar. It just needs to be a little clearer, We appreciated being able to escape the noise and entertainment at the main pool during our days spent at this pool. But we did also spend other days at the main pool, and those were equally enjoyable and even better in terms of snacks thanks to the pizza, pasta, and sandwiches that were available this side from 11:00 to 17:00. The entertainment is fantastic. Although some of the activities were repetitive, we were only there for a week and didn't think there needed to be repeated activities during the days. We also had a hard time understanding why all the activities took place in the infinity pool when, in my opinion, they would be more suited for the pools on the other side and left the infinity and deeper pool for relaxing. Rooms - We had nothing to dislike about our room. it was well-designed and large. My partner had read some complaints about uncomfortable beds, but ours was enormous and quite comfy. However, one morning there was no running water in our room. We contacted reception several times and no one answered, so we figured everyone in our building was having the same problem. When the water finally turn back on, it was really brown. We ran it for quite a while and it still didn't go away, so we decided to leave and go about our day as we were already dressed. When we returned later that day, everything was back to normal, but there had been no acknowledgment or apologies from the hotel. It didn't ruin anything for us, but I thought it would have been good to at least get an acknowledgment because I'm sure it caused problems for some families. Regarding food, everything was acceptable. Despite being a picky eater, I was never without food. You only get to visit each restaurant once every week, we did get visit all of them. The Greek only had two staff members, who were excellent but ran off their feet, would of been help full if everyone got up to get their own drinks, as we did. I first thought that HV Diner would be the best, but the food was just an odd combination. I liked Asian and Italian the most. There were many option and no problems when we dined in the main restaurant a couple times. Kardamena is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel. A taxi will cost you between 7 and 10 euros. We only used the taxi service once because there are electric scooters just outside the hotel that you can hire and get into Kardamena in 5 minutes. This was the one we preferred. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at PortoEye, and the cocktails were fantastic. Overall, we had a really excellent time and would suggest the hotel to others, even with the steps. It's a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, and one of the best for entertainment we've seen. I feel that it is what you make of it, and that things will happen outside of anyone's control, and it is up to you whether you choose to let it spoil your holiday or just get on with it.

This hotel was an absolute dream trip, we visited 23rd-30th October. The staff were amazing, food incredible, entertainment team the best. Bar staff really friendly and the greeting to the restaurants. Managed to get into the Greek restaurant on the last night it was open which was really special. The private beach was fantastic with water sports and the boat trip we took he let our son have a go at steering the boat absolutely made our trip. Massage in the spar was lovely also and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this and at this time of year because it was warm and quieter. Thank you all :)

We arrived in Kos on the 23rd October for a 10 day stay. With my Daughter, her husband and two children. We arrived at the Atlantica Beach Resort, at 1pm lunch time. Reception staff welcoming, and prompt in checking us in. We were slightly confused as we had booked two rooms, usually when we stay at Atlantica Hotels we are situated close together as a family booking. Our room was situated near to the main building facing the driveway and reception. The room was clean and had a bed made up for my Grandaughter, however, we had booked a Resort sea view room patio doors and terrace. We returned to Reception and explained that this room was not what we ordered, it was dark and the terrace shaded. We were told but this room has been refurbished and is a premium room. But it did not have a sea view. They could not provide a sea view as they did not have any, we were asked to wait until the next day! We did speak to the Tui Representative, who confirmed there were no available rooms, and he would speak to us the following day. After breakfast, we went to Reception, we were told to come back after lunch whilst they tried to locate us a room. After lunch we were shown two tired rooms which were part sea view. It was obvious with the number of people in Reception waiting for rooms that the Hotel was overbooked, cleaners were trying to get rooms ready for waiting customers, who were dissatisfied. It was obvious that the Hotel was working to a 7 day and 14 day time table, booking 10 days did not fit in with this schedule. They told us they did not have a sea view room. My Husband asked for our money to be returned and that we would find another Hotel. We also mentioned how long this holiday had been booked and we had originally booked a suite, but, cancelled as they could not give us sea view only inland views. This changed the situation, they gave us a suite quite near to my Daughter with lovely sea views, at last, after 30 hours we could un-pack and begin to relax. However, within a few days it was obvious the Hotel was getting ready to close, the food was everything from the day before re-invented in another dish and sauce, mussels were on the menu, but, one night a fellow guest complained as a mountain of mussels were placed in the salad section not one of them were open! The entertainment stopped on the Tuesday night, the childrens entertainment and club finished on the Wednesday, we were not leaving until the Saturday evening. We went into Kardemena for two nights and had a fabulous meal at the Avli Restaurant. I have seen on the reviews that the guests had smoked salmon, this was never served whilst we were there. I am coeliac there was no station to accomodate gluten free guests, I asked for gluten free bread one morning, then asked which toaster I should use, the staff told me to use the general one? To conclude, the staff were amazing hard working nothing, too much trouble! The resort is beautiful, fantastic sea views, the beach just a short walk away. We have been to Atlantica Hotels in Cyprus, in Pathos and Ayia Napa. Unfortunately this Atlantica Beach Resort did not match the others! Also have to conclude that I do not write reviews, but made the effort this time as we were so disappointed!

It’s a beautiful located hotel with access to a sandy beach , nice gardens . The view for the sea and mountains are great. Just the food isn’t good , the staff are hard workers and the bottles of waters are limited for the stay so how it’s all inclusive.

This is my second time to this hotel with family. The first visit seemed better. but with the hotel claiming to have gone up half a star we decided to give it a go. The start of the visit went slightly wrong when the rooms were allocated wrong, but this was quickly sorted. The room was a good sized room with comfy beds. The entertainment for the children was hit and miss and the food not as good as last time. The major problem was the waiting to get into the dinning room it got up to 25 mins and with children this is not good. The drinks machines for warm drinks were shut off at night in the dinning room. The long long wait to get served at the bar was a joke I can only put this down to it being near the end of the season. The rooms look a little tired for a hotel that is claiming to be a 4.5 star. I have been here twice now and that is enough. Nothing seems to have changed since my last visit a year ago so I have not put anything else down about the hotel when it can be seen on my last report. One thing we heard was that the manager left and went to a hotel next door when the hotel was taken over and that a lot of experienced staff followed him !
