I never really write long reviews but I find them so helpful myself to read before I book so I’m going to try to cover everything useful… In short … as beautiful and clean as the photos! You won’t be disappointed It was about 60 minutes from the airport but that’s because our bus broke down on the way. Usually 45ish I believe. Luckily we weren’t stuck for long. At the hotel check in was very quick and the staff were lovely. We booked a room with a divider and limited sea view… what we got was nothing more than beautiful! Two huge double rooms linked by a door, with huge lovely shower rooms, balcony’s and a full on sea view! Clearly the end of the season so we got a upgrade! (Room 311 and next door) the only slight downside was it was above the restaurant - I imagine it’s very loud mid summer but wasn’t bad for us. We got bath robes and slippers, bedroom cleaned daily (floors washed too and fridge restocked with fruit juices, beers and water) only day it wasn’t was the last day as the hotel closed that day! FOOD - food selection, breakfast was my favourite, something for everyone and lots of different sections from fruit/cheeses to live cooking stations (main meats and fish etc) fresh omelettes cooked every morning too. Waiters were all lovely and attentive, getting your drinks for you and clearing plates promptly. You get one visit to one of the restaurants too, we didn’t realise the Greek was closing or we would have gone, so we chose the Italian as we don’t eat Asian. The Italian was beautiful inside, the waitresses were so lovely and funny and the food was really good too! Again, nice and quiet for us but make sure you book ahead if summer time. AREA - we hired a CAR from the Rodos car lady in reception who was lovely, helpful and chatty. We drove to Rhodes old town (30mins) and had a day on a beach with water sports, and then a day at Anthony Quinn’s bay which is a must visit. There’s a bus stop outside but we didn’t use it. We have been to lindos before so didn’t head there but the bus does go there. Not much else right around the hotel. Few shops, watersports and nice walk if you go up the mountain! SHOPS- nice shop downstairs selling lots of things from food to gifts to clothes/shoes. But also lots of little shops dotted around the side roads around the hotel too. And pharmacy etc. POOLS - so many! Very cold but late October so expected and a nice relief from 25 degrees heat that we luckily had daily. waterpark is brilliant for all ages and the lifeguards there were great fun and friendly. Only comment is the bar there is not part of the all inclusive so take your drinks over when you head there (side of hotel) we have a 9y old and 12y old for reference so no little toddlers but there bit looked fun too! Jacuzzi on main pool also freezing so don’t be fooled lol. The smaller “sports” pool is slightly warmer than the others, as is the baby pool of course. Didn’t visit the spa but would have liked to. VIEWS are amazing from all over! Mountains and sea! We didn’t go down to the hotels beach but looked good with sun loungers etc for a break from hotel. ENTERTAINMENT this is the only negative about our stay, but again, we went LATE October into November (hotel closing day we leave) so it was quiet, but there was always something for the kids and then some kid of live singer/dancer/act for The evening - trouble was, it was all outside which was very cold by 8pm we were sat in blankets and eveyone left so some nights we were the only ones watching which was a bit awkward. Everyone literally disappeared at 9pm?! I guess as younger kids but it was so so quiet. The last night of our stay was windy so they did have a singer indoors but again we were the only ones so felt we had to stay to watch. Felt sorry for the performers mainly as pointless for them really! We spoke to bar staff who said was only because of the time of year, and usually it’s packed. So for us we wouldn’t go again this late in the year but other than it being quiet everything was perfect and if my partner would go to the same place twice I would definitely return! Will be visiting other Atlantica hotels from now on as the All inclusive was brilliant and well worth the money! The hotel was spotless! We also got to the keep the rooms until we got picked up on the last day as it was closing day, which was really helpful! Thank you! Hope this has been helpful. Thank you to all the staff at Atlantica Aegean blue for our stay.
