It is only 15-minute drive to Santorini (Thira) International Airport. Renovated in 2019 with exclusive materials, minimal design, upgraded services and rich amenities for those who want to enjoy privacy, high class services, comfort and luxury, always with this majestic scenery from every spot of the hotel. The bar-restaurant is open all day serving delicious dishes and signature cocktails. The spa is open also all day offering body and faces therapies, make up, hair styling and more. The heated infinity pool with the pool bar in the water is the place to spend most of your day enjoying amazing cocktails combined with the unlimited caldera and sunset views. **Note** for winter 2020 season: Our hotel wil remain open from the 1st of November 2020 'till the 15th of January 2021 for the 2020 winter season but with some facilites not operational. Our bar, restuarant and room serivce will remain inactive for the whole winter period, our swimming pool will remain full but not heated as temperatures go low and cannot keep the water warm, and finally our spa facilites are not working in-house but we can always arrange a massage therapy in your suite. Santorini is a gorgeous place even in the winter!”

Beautiful property!! Maintained super well! We loved the location and Caldera views from our Honeymoon Suite! Visited in December and got lucky with sunny days. Staff is super responsive and provided everything we asked for. Definitely coming back here if we are in Santorini.

Pricey but worth it

Booked a weekend (three nights) trip for my husband's birthday in October and did a lot of research about where to stay. Athina Suites is a very special place. It started with a luxury pick-up at the airport and a complimentary massage while we waited for our room to be ready as we were quite early arriving from Dublin. Our suite (25) was beautiful, we had a gorgeous terrace and large private hot-tub/pool. It's a great terrace as it's very private, not overlooked and you had a stunning view of the caldera. It was so relaxing to wake up in the morning to that view and enjoy a fabulous breakfast delivered to us. The front desk staff are all friendly and professional (give Kaylee a raise!) and the whatsapp service is very handy for queries and bookings. We had a really enjoyable meal at Esperisma on the Friday evening, booked a semi-private cruise via the hotel on the Saturday, did complimentary yoga and hung out at the amazing pool drinking cocktails on the Sunday. Barmen were also fabulous and really knowledgeable. (Try the grapefruit spritz on a sunny day). I didn't find the steps a problem, you're so close to the centre of Fira, I enjoyed the walk to browse the shops. Santorini is expensive (the wine particularly is very expensive everywhere!) and this is a luxury stay but worth every cent for a completely relaxing experience.

Tha location is amazing, and the staff did their best to make us feel comfortable. Highly recommended for couples, not really fit for children (but this is true related to the whole island) because of the hundreds of steps. The breakfast was really good and the view is breathtaking. We will go again.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Hotel Athina! The hotel is just a 3-5mins walk down the steps from the main market with all the shops and restaurants, and yet the rooms feel so peacefully quiet with a gorgeous view. I was pleasantly surprised with how well-organised, guest friendly, professional and exceptional their service was from booking to check out. The hotel app is great and the staff were so helpful and communicative via WhatsApp too. Their guest survey-form before check-in makes the experience personalised and thoughtful. We were very grateful that upon check in and check out, the staff helped us with all our luggage which was so helpful because of all the steps in Fira. The front desk staff gave us really nice travel tips and suggestions too. It's so nice to see how welcoming and friendly the staff is, and always smiling and positive. The view from our room was breathtaking and the bedroom was very comfortable. Their swimming pool has heated water, which is a nice bonus in this weather because it is cold and windy. The food in the restaurant and the in-room breakfast is exceptional!!! The Chicken Ballotine is a must try!!! Thank you so much to the entire team for making our anniversary so special with the complimentary wine and card! We will surely visit again and next time stay longer. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience at your property even in such short amount of time. There is only one feedback- The shower and basin taps are a little difficult to figure out and operate. Please look into it. Everything else was beyond perfect! Thank you!

Fantastic location, breathtaking views, amazing service. Located on the caldera’s cliff, next to restaurants, shopping, and everything the island has to offer. Even though the place is in the center of the town, there is enough separation from the pedestrian walkways to enjoy quiet serenity of this magical place. There is no need to find a place to watch a sunset, you can enjoy it from your own, private patio, or the swimming pool, the hotel’s incredible restaurant, or even the bar. It’s true, the sunset is unique and idyllic. You can stare at the sun traveling down to disappear behind the sea, all within 3 minutes. The staff at the hotel seriously impressed me. They would offer coffee, tea, a glass of champagne every time I passed by the lobby, and never asked me to pay for it. And the lobby is right next to the bar. 😉 All of their suites are unique in shape, furnishings, and size. We tried four of them and it’s really difficult to recommend one over another. They are all great. One of the features we really enjoyed with my wife was the daily breakfast on our private patio. Brought at a time we selected the prior night, crafted just for us. It’s so quiet in the morning - we could just sit, eat, drink great coffee, and enjoy the moment.
